Bad Breath Halitosis Forum

So of the guys who permanently got cured from Metronizadole (keep spelling it wrong) got the antibitotic secreted into their saliva permanently?

I was told many years ago that I had bad breath. Over the last month I've asked about 7 close friends and 2 family members if they ever smelled anything. They all replied 'no' and seemed to be honest (they seemed a little confused or something when I asked them that).

What about you guys?

Don't scare me. The funny thing is my tongue is whiter than ever. Yet no smell.

UPDATE: Metronidazole 400mg fixed my bad breath. Tongue does not smell at all. Took 21 tablets over 7 days. Have been off the pills for 2 days now and haven't brushed my teeth in like 12 hours (i woke up about 3 hours ago). And my breath still doesn't smell. Hopefully this will last a while.

DONE THE TEST:

I have to wait 2 days for the results so I'll post back next week. They made me blow into a aluminium bag after fasting for a whole night and not taking any tablets/antibiotics for a month. Will see how it goes.

Kids are incredibly honest, I'm sure some of his friends in his younger age would have told him without hesitation that his breath smelled. Yea, for the first week i get fresh breath all day. Then after that the bristles get too soft and it becomes highly inneffective. Although I am yet to try their new model which came out a month ago or something.

I went on Amoxil, didn't make a change to my bad breath which I think is a good thing. Amoxil adds good bacteria to your mouth, which means I must naturally have good bacteria and there is another cause of my bad breath. Will post results on the 11th of April about test.

shmooze - you are so true. I do agree that you need to spend the time on finding the cause than covering it up.
