I have tested negative for acid reflux from a couple of barium swallows, and positive from a barium swallow as well. You should definitely test for tmau. Join the laryngopharyngeal reflux group on facebook. When pepsin goes up to the throat and nose, it damages cells and causes inflammation. This may produce odor, and the bacteria can eat the cells and may produce an odor.
