Robert, sounds like a possible case of SIBO. Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. Some nasty bacteria can make it's way into the small intestines from the large intestine this way. If you have a bad back, you probably take some pain medicine. These lead to constipation and can also cause problems...
