book recommendation

Well, I never thought I'd see the day when I'd be posting in this section! Having said that, its not really a religion-based post - just that this category would be the nearest applicable. Just half way through 'The Power of Now' by Eckhardt Tolle - calls itself a guide to spiritual enlightenment. T...

Why did you test for thyroid??
Google 'thyroid' + 'halitosis' - and you will see that there is some info out there regarding a connection between the two.

That website is a great find Vivian. Doesn't seem to have any vested interest so makes the info so much more credible. Have just ordered some 'no-fenol' - worth a punt.

Will post back results in due course.

I had endoscopy done 8 years ago - there were no conclusions to be drawn as a result.
Just thought there might be a straightforward test available that would confirm one way or the other...

Is there any 'test' for GERD?

TMAU Testing

Just to let you know that TMAU testing is now possible without the involvement of your GP via medichecks.com Thats the good news. The bad news is that it costs £285!
Available on the NHS in the UK and for €144 via the Mayo Clinic. However, GP involvement required for either of these.

The advice on this sort of thing is that it may take a looong time before you see results (if indeed that was the issue in the first place ....which we can't be certain of). I came to this point having done some 'tests' thr...
