I don't know anyone who has actually been cured following a tonsillectomy. You're forgetting 'Notanymore', you stickied his thread. I have that too. However the part about the cause being thick saliva is speculation. Something's going on in your throat, only an ENT doc could tell you the facts.

The answer is probably no since most people here don't even have BB. They get offered snacks or they see someone rubbing their nose on the other side of the street... that make them believe they have BB.
