Sleeping with head up on two pillows lets the post nasal drip run down the throat all night instead of accumulating and congealing in the back of the throat/nose. It helps a lot with morning breath. And without zyrtec I can feel my saliva flow increasing. Major blessings from Christ! Mike

I'm stopping zyrtec because I think my salivary flow rate is on the lower end of normal without it; taking an anti-histamine like zyrtec may be ok for people with higher natural salivary flow rates, but for people like me on the lower end, it might be pushing the flow rate below a critical point so ...

Bacteria accumulate between the posterior and anterior faucial pillars, too. You can reach your thumb down along the sides of the throat and sweep it upwards, between both pillars to clean it. In Christ, Mike

you have to close your mouth a little so the roof of the mouth/posterior faucial pillars relax enough for your thumb to squeeze these tissues. Otherwise, if your mouth is wide open, you can't push up and back because it's too tight.

I wrote earlier about squeezing the post nasal drip and bacteria out of the nasal cavity and from behind the posterior faucial pillars. But I discovered that there was still bacteria and post nasal drip hiding mostly up above the CORNERS of the back of the roof of the mouth, just before it becomes t...

also use your thumb to clean the back of the throat. only AFTER using your thumbs to expunge the post nasal drip from above the uvula and from behind the posterior faucial pillars and back of the throat...only AFTER that does it help to clean the tongue. Otherwise if you clean the tongue first, then...

You have to use your thumbs to squeeze the post nasal drip and associated bacteria out of the back of the nasal cavity and out from behind the posterior faucial pillars. Push upwards and backwards near the uvula to expunge the post nasal drip that sits in the back of the floor of the nasal cavity co...

I was reading the sinus irrigation instructions, and one thing that I wasn't doing was squeezing the bottle with enough pressure to flush muscous and bacteria away. Tip your head sideways for part of the rinsing, to let the water run behind the posterior faucial pillars in the mouth, where overnight...

and sinus rinse with head tipped sideways till you feel the salt water and baking soda water coming out of your nasal cavity and running down the side of your throat near the posterior faucial pillar to clean that area...that's where the post nasal drip runs when you sleep, because your head is side...

So therefore try gargling with non-alcohol mouthrinse with head sideways, in addition to sinus rinsing with head sideways, to reach the sides of the throat behind the posterior faucial pillars.

When you use the neti pot or other sinus rinser, tip your head completely sideways and it will drain down the sides of your throat and out your mouth, cleaning the area between the posterior faucial pillar and the side of the back of the throat. Also, I think the reason bacteria thrive there overnig...

squeeze the post nasal drip out from between the posterior faucial pillar and the side/back of throat, and also use thumb to wipe post nasal drip down the throat so it's not just stuck to the back of the throat. Swallow it down after dislodging it and pushing/wiping it downwards with thumb. The rest...

After squeezing the salt water and baking soda into one nostril and its sinuses, and after blowing half of it out, snort the remainder all the way back and into your mouth. That cleans the back of the floor of the nasal cavity from dried post nasal drip, which has lots of bacteria that contaminate t...
