Stillhoping, are the enzymes working still? Check out this article. This is what we all have!!! https://www.radboudumc.nl/en/news/2017/gene-mutation-causes-chronic-bad-breath This is why our breath improved with diet changes but what diet changes specifically, nobody says. :( I'm reading through yo...

This is so frustrating…. In the meantime, StillHoping me tioned the digestive enzymes. I’ll try that after a round of antibiotics and see what happens. I’ll add betaine to the mix .. it’s working for her once she got all the other areas taken care of. Beat of luck to all I think you are referring t...

thanks for the update Jimi! how do you maintain energy/ stay satiated on this diet? I tried alkaline diet once and I don't think I was even able to last up to 3 days lol. But I definitely agree with you that its all about diet. My theory is that something in us was wiped out - maybe through antibiot...

Very interesting!! I'm surprised I have not come across this post before. After googling Hypermethioninemia, this is from the wiki page: "People with hypermethioninemia often do not show any symptoms...Some individuals with hypermethioninemia exhibit...liver problems; unusual facial features; a...

It's sad how people disappear on BB forums. This post is 9 years old..it will have helped a lot of us if some folks will simply leave feedback on stuff they've tried.
I agree, I wish people would atleast give some update before disappearing

@bobi - glad to hear you have been able to manage your bb! I wouldn't have suspected protein increases bb! can you please give a rundown of your diet? e.g. what foods you eat in a typical day? Interestingly, I had come across this article stating that people with impaired kidney or liver should foll...

Thank you for the detailed answer! :) Are you implying that before you got the food poisoning, your bb was likely only from the mouth? Yes, I read SIBO is very hard to treat because after the treatment with antibiotics, it often returns. Do you think maybe you developed gluten sensitivity after the...

Hi Stillhoping, I read your posts with interest after seeing you find success following that spanish guy Jorge's advice and I had wondered how you were getting on as you'd been absent from the forum for a long time. I read that you mentioned you were only taking the gluten cutter once a week more r...

Hi StillHoping, thank you for posting your diet! :) your low Fodmap diet cured your bb, right? Or did only decrease it? I’m asking because you also listed other causes. It’s interesting that you mentioned starches should be avoided, as I haven’t seen them on high fodmap list. In fact, cereals, pota...

I agree with you, it definitely does depend on the source. For me, it seems to be 1. Oral [fissured tongue] and 2. Stomach [SIBO] / [Possibly a 3rd cause could be GERD/Hiatal Hernia? but I'm not 100% sure on this]. For SIBO, low fodmap diet is definitely the only way to go!! Foods to avoid: dairy, s...

Hi StillHoping, very happy to hear you found a solution! =D> How have you been so far? Do the enzymes and alkaline diet work for you now as well? Do you follow the diet? I also have same kind of bb as you described yours. I have chronic pancreatitis since childhood and so far have tried the pancrea...

Yeah, go to Banf or something and have fun. Screw this BB.
We need a few moments without this misery.
All the best to you guys.
Thanks KL123! Once things return to normal, would love to plan one in the US
