Hey Harry, I've a dental appointment in a couple of weeks and I'm going to ask him to take a good look at my gums, teeth, take x-rays and investigate my fillings to make sure there aren't any cracks or areas that could be letting in bacteria or causing decay. If this doesn't turn anything up, I'll b...

Searching,

I just wanted to clarify, do you scrape, floss, brush and only then use the oral irrigator with the hp solution? I've been using it before brushing, not sure how much difference this makes but I'll try it after brushing and see what happens. :D

Hi BB Girl, That's pretty cool for you, so you're almost convinced that your bb was caused by these crowns? I have a friend who had bb for around a year, it turned out he needed a root canal and when he had this filled his bb disappered and hasn't returned. I don't have crowns but I have a fair few ...

Drastic,

You seem obsessed by the amount of flirting I partake in... What's the deal? Do you fancy me or something? If so you'll have to come into the chatroom if you want to flirt with me! :D

Right, and that's my last word on the subject...can't wait to see ya later Dras...

Drastic, For some reason, known only to yourself, you seem to have deceided to start a personal vendetta against myself. I find it odd how you've suddenly become quite so vitriolic considering how much support we offered to each other over the past few months. As you've mentioned previously, we need...

Drastic, I find it hypocritical that you accuse me of flirting, but deny participating yourself...and yes, by god, it IS fun!! And believe me, if there's one thing we all need, to deal with this condition everyday, it's a bit of fun!! Wynasha, If you go back and read my original posting, you'll see ...

Drastic, The chatroom is there for people to offer support to each other and to be sociable, a lot of us get little opportunity to socialise and this is a place to create friendships, offer and receive emotional support and yes, dare I say it, have fun! Of course, we also discuss the more serious im...

Hi Dreamweaver, It could be worth while giving your molar a rinse with the peroxide and maybe even irrigating all your gums with a waterpik to see if this improves your bb. Have you read searching's thread? He irrigated with hp and brushed with a triclosan containing toothpaste and this seemed to al...

Hi ihurts, I checked out your link, hopefully seeing an academic rather than a dentist will offer some sort of new perspective on this problem rather than the usual floss, scrape and use mouthwash which is churned out by the charlatans that tend to run 'fresh breath centres'. Using saliva as a diagn...

Sharon, I'm so sorry to here how upset you've been...what kind of surgery are you having next week? I often look back over my life, particularly over this past year and think how this awful condition has affected my life, stopped me from doing so many things and forming close relationships... I know...

Hi ithurts, That sounds pretty cool. I went to a breath clinic a while back, but the guy turned out to be nothing more than a glorified dentist... If you're seeing guys from a university hopefully they'll know exactly what they're talking about and will be able to discuss stuff like bacteriology wit...

Hi Dreamweaver, Have you noticed any improvements in your bb since you've been keeping the area around your molar clean? I currently use an oral irrigator with a dilute hydrogen peroxide solution along with a triclosan containing toothpaste, to be honest though, it doesn't really do much to improve ...

Hi Phineas, I had tonsil stones in the past and so had my tonsils removed. Unfortunately, this did nothing to improve my bb...but some people have been cured after a tonsillectomy so I'd never rule it out completely, it's really up to you to deceide if it will be worth going through the pain of the ...
