Dr. Aydinmur, Does salt or sodium play a beneficial role in keeping the tongue pinkish/red? I have noticed this many times. Maybe bad breath is related to the sodium/water balance in all cells of the body. Drinking too much water may eliminate too much sodium from the cells, which could lead to a wh...

Brad, thank you for keeping us updated. I'm sure we all appreciate it a lot. With your current diet, how would you rate your BB on a scale of 1-10? 1 being completely normal and 10 being very offensive? I would rate it as 1. My girlfriend told me last weekend that I should feel lucky that I never s...

It has been 9 weeks since I first started this post. Here is the update. The back of the tongue hasn't had any odor that is detectable with using my finger. It doesn't matter if I brush my teeth or skip a day of brushing. There never is any smell on the tongue. I eat the same meal every time. I cook...

One time, my nose odor stunk up a whole room. I also noticed the odor when I blew my nose. I kept blowing, and finally a grain of rice came out of my nose. The smell went away after that.

Maybe you guys have a blockage. I wonder how a grain of rice could get stuck up my nose.

Maybe there isn't a cure for the majority of sufferers, but there are some individual cures happening. Also there are many temporary cures on this website. This is better than nothing. I would suggest trying to eliminate meat (fish is okay), cheese, sugar, eggs, and gluten as much as you can. And do...

I have found that toothpaste is a frequent cause of odor at the back of the tongue. I have been testing this for a while now. My solution is to brush my teeth with toothpaste. Then I brush my teeth gently with water immediately after to clean all the residual toothpaste out of my mouth. This along w...

Hi, You mentioned your back of your tongue doesn't smell. How often do you check it? Are you checking at the very back of it? I would recommend checking it 3 times a day for a week and see if there are any times that it smells. If it does, then find out what you recently ate or any other changes you...

I am very happy myself and others are getting results with eliminating odor from the tongue and saliva. In the last month, I have eliminated the smell with whole grains, and others have eliminated it with zinc and copper vitamins, zinc lactate toothpaste, diets high in fiber, and medications. This i...

I had the same problem with my sweat and my breath smelling terrible.

When I stopped brushing and scraping my tongue, the sweat smell and my bad breath improved by a lot. It took two weeks.

This tongue scraping is throwing bacteria and gunk into the rest of your body no matter how careful you are.

I remember watching a prime-time television reality show called the next greatest inventor or something like that last year. One guy invented filtered sheets that cover the opening of each nostril that would work the same as a mask but you couldn't see the sheets unless you look very closely. This w...

This brown rice diet is amazing. I didn't brush my teeth for 24 hours. I then woke up in the morning and checked my tongue. There was no smell.

I ate a can of white kidney beans. It made the back of my tongue smell all day long.

The tongue smell might be caused from the high amounts of protein that are contained in beans and in meat products.

He mentioned recently in a post that brown rice will reduce bad breath. I ate only plain brown rice and drank water for a week and noth...
