I had them removed but it didn't help.
I think there are multiple causes for my bad breath.
Currently getting allergy shots. If allergy shots and going to bad breath specialist don't help, I'm taking out my tonsils.
Also currently eating an insane amount of yogurt.

After 6 months of allergy shots (starting this week) and I still have bad breath, I'm taking my tonsils out. It doesn't matter how painful it is. Just 10% chance that my bad breath might go away is good enough for me. I am much happier when I know that I am still trying and there is still hope. Jane...

Tonsillectomy and not cure?

Hi guys,

Who in here has their tonsils removed but not cured? I just want to gather up some statistics.

I coughed out a bunch of tonsil stones yesterday and they are truely disgusting. I think this is might be my problem all along.

Snobuni, I'll keep you updated. I think my breath is getting worse and I'm getting secluded. I'm avoiding people at work. I don't keep eye contact with anyone anymore. For someone who is very out going, I always keep a stern face. This is really killing me :(. Drastic, I'll ask that. The dentist I'm...

dreamweaver, good luck. Are you living in the US? Guys, I'm going to an Oral Clinic that are more specialize in bad breath. My ENT referred me. They are a group of doctors from a university. Does anyone want me to ask them any questions that you might have? It is almost $200/hour and I'm paying out ...

Hi Drastic, I can't see my crypts. They are not visible to the eyes. That's why I didn't know that I have chronic tonsil stones. I seriously would try anything and I mean anything to give myself a chance. I know surgery would be painful. I rather be in pain for 2 weeks than giving up all hope. My EN...

hey DRASTIC, It has been more than 1 month. Seriously, I don't know how much my breath has improved or even if it has improved at all. It's hard to tell. I went to my ENT an hour ago and talked to him about my bad breath. Is it me or doctors are uncomfortable about this subject? After the checkup, h...

hello,

does chewing sugar-less gum and drinking water help you out with your breath?

Thanks Drasstic. I do hope that I find a cure soon. It would be the happiest day of my life. Snobuni, I am living in US. I told my physician that I have bad breath and he suggested a number of tests. Yes! My doctor said that I should get tests for my nose and throat and only an ENT have the equipmen...

Hi Snobuni

I went to my doctor. I told him I have bad breath and he did all sorts of tests. I am extremely Vitamin D deficient and my saliva culture turns out fine. Go to go your doctor and ask for the same.
This test makes a lot of sense. For me, mouthwash doesn't help with my breath at all.

Saliva culture turns out fine. I guess now I can eliminated that my bad breath is not coming from my mouth. Scheduling an appointment with my ENT in 2 weeks to do a bacteria test with my nose and throat. Even though I'm disappointed, I'm still pretty excited because I now know more about my problems.

halitosisux,
If I'm reading this right, if you don't have bad breath 24/7, the problem is not with your teeth. What do you think?

halitosisux,

before your wisdom teeth removal, do you have constant bad breath 24/7? Is it better on certain days?

This is the reply I got from them.

"Greetings and thanks for your interest. The cost of the test is $125. The kit to take the sample can be sent to you to take in to your dentist, AirPerio"

I asked them why would it be necessary for me to take it to my dentist and no reply yet.

I am so freaking sad man. PND is due to allergies at least in my case. Claritin definitely eliminates 80% of my PND but still bad taste in the back of my throat. I sometimes can smell my breath and I have to say it smells bad. I'm not sure how to describe it. The people that give me weird looks and ...
