searching, you posted about using bismuth before. it did help me a bit (though not much), so i may return to that. what about you? regarding biofilm, xylitol and lactoferrin have been shown to target it. i take lactoferrin daily (it has reduced my tongue coating, but doesn't do much for my bb.. thou...

for me, it is a combo of both oral and digestive and/or systemic, i think. i notice my bb fluctuates at different times. sometimes it seems to just be oral and that is when a combination of brushing, flossing, scraping, using medicated rinses, irrigating, and something else like bismuth or aspirin w...

thank you for the info, dr. murat! the idea behind using aspirin was to change the pH balance in the mouth to make it more acidic, i think. what would be a safer form of acid to use for this? apple cider vinegar? or anything else? Neither use aspirin nor compansate its acid. Dont keep aspirin in yo...

i am wondering if it would be okay to use the aspirin in a different way. instead of brushing it into the teeth, what about grinding it up (outside of the mouth), then placing the powder on a toothbrush and brushing your tongue with it for a few short seconds, then rinsing? dr. murat said not to hav...

i know NSAIDS (like ibuprofen) can cause stomach ulcers. was not aware that aspirin did too? Aspirin is definitely corrosive to the stomach lining. I don't know how it compares to other NASAIDS. Maybe you could try diluting the strength of the aspirin or trying the lower dosage that a lot of elderl...

pretty sure i have this type of problem. my bb often either tastes like vomit in the back of my throat, or kind of a weird fermented smell.. which leads me to believe it is coming from food coming back up.

one of the forum users posted this as well, about cola drinks (like coca cola) being more acidic. what do you think? Salicylic acid (aspirin) is worse than Carbonic acid (cola). Salicylic acid burns, deattaches mucosa. -M thank you for the info, dr. murat! the idea behind using aspirin was to chang...

I don't know if this is a realistic perspective or not, but aspirin easily causes stomach ulcers - coca cola doesn't - has to be a reason for this when a person can sit there drinking it all day without a problem, yet a person who takes aspirin, which will only sit in the stomach for a short while,...

[some of us have started chewing an aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) pill and then brushing it into our teeth, gums and tongue.. and it seems to help. i imagine this is also because of a change in the pH. do you think this will damage our teeth or mouths over time? This is harmfull application for te...
