Another related product to try is n-acetyl glucosamine (N-A-G). I never heard of it before, but it coats the intestine and seals a leaky gut. Google for more information. It can be taken with l-glutamine. I'm taking just N-A-G in the morning on an empty stomach. Thanks for the tip! Have you tried a...

I've been on 7.5 mg zinc oxide per day (in a multiple supplement with 500 mg calcium carbonate and 250 mg magnesium oxide) for a couple of days. It seems to be making my bb worse. Could this be a case of getting worse before it gets better? I thought zinc was supposed to improve bb by interfering wi...

I don't recommend it. I once tried brushing with natural soap. After a couple of days my floss smelled much worse. (I had tonsil stones back then so that may have contributed.) The theory is that soap removes the essential oils that keep the bacteria in check so it's better to use toothpaste that do...

Before I had my tonsils removed, I used a dental syringe like this one to clean them out. It wasn't perfect but seemed to help. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B002OXEURA/ref=dp_image_0?ie=UTF8&n=3760901&s=hpc I haven't seen a stone since the tonsils were removed, but my bb is still ...

Serotonin is also used by the colon, so that may be a link to its affect on bb. 5htp is known to help IBS. I would stick to 5htp which raises serotonin naturally. SSRIs are dangerous IMO. I might give 5htp a try since I have some IBS and anxiety symptoms.

I have problems with gum recession. So I get a lot of decay around the gum line. But my floss doesn't smell bad after flossing, which I think proves the gums aren't causing any bb. My tongue is not coated either.

4 week update: Still waiting for area around back of tongue to completely heal (where the tongue meets the tonsil area.) It's still white there. Gargling with saline solution to help with that. My tongue stays pink all day now. Some bb left, but at least 50% better as far as I can tell. Glad to hear...

3 week update : I had not been flossing after the surgery because it was too hard to open my mouth. I was just using a water jet or a water pik. Yesterday I flossed and the floss smelled bad. It didn't smell as bad as tonsil stones, more like cauterized tissue. I think the smell was from the cauter...

The bacteria that cause bb (mostly gram negative) are not the disease-causing ones (mostly gram positive). The immune system won't attack the bb germs because they aren't disease causing. This article links bb to both gram positive and negative bacteria: http://www.infectioncontroltoday.com/news/200...

@deebo yes I was diagnosed H Pylori positive twice and had tripple therapy with different combinations seperatly. I guess my diagnosis was false as I was on PPIs, I read they can temper with tests. Not sure which blood counts are low or how to improbe BC and potential of getting rid of this BB mala...

An ENT can't promise tonsillectomy will cure bb since every case is different. In my case I had chronic fetid tonsillitis, which is reason enough to remove them. Laser cryptolysis is less likely to work. I believe the tonsils were causing most of my bb since it had the same smell as tonsil stones. T...

Nice to hear that things are going well for you anyway. I still struggle on. I caught a cold now, so now it's even worse. Keep you posted Did you get prescribed an antibiotic? If not you should ask your doctor. That would give you a better chance at beating the bb if your mouth starts with a clean ...

Hope you're feeling better, MP. I've got a little soreness left at the base of the tongue and tonsil area. Yawning still hurts a bit. I'm off tylenol now. There's still some white scar tissue left in the tonsil area that needs to finish healing. Once that's done I can better assess how much of the b...
