Re: Diet + regime experiment

I'm glad Rice and potatoes work for you but they may not work for Fog. I could have been cured last year had I stopped eating the two. Why not eliminate them all and add back in later to see if they cause a problem. At least if you are gonna try beating this with diet, go all the way before giving ...

Re: Diet + regime experiment

Dunno but I did find this https://www.perfectlyproduce.com/why-we-feel-worse-eating-healthy/ SO maybe if you feel worse that might be a good thing = body adjusting But if the breath gets worse I still would tend to belive its not working. Did your breath improve from diet alone, without any regime ...

Re: Diet + regime experiment

I've been doing low fodmap for over a year but my breath didn't change until I cut the carbs. Carbs = sugar period!! Shrug. Diet is individual. I am on an incredibly restrictive diet which includes rice (I’d starve without it) and I’m getting great results. I think the solution is diet - likely for...

Re: Diet + regime experiment

No Rice!!! The only carbs you should be eating are from low fodmap veggies, nuts, and low sugar fruits (strawberries, oranges, kiwi) What are you doing to kill the bacteria ie bleach, triclosan, chlorhexidine, ctylperidine, salt etc ? Rice is low FODMAP, there should be no reason not to eat it unle...

Re: Supervised Elimination Diet... list of allowed foods

I’m having success with this diet, I have cravings for chocolate and I dream about food every night. I actually dream about eating food that I’m not allowed and it seems so real! Anyway, I had a few fillets of whiting for dinner with a sprinkle of white vinegar and it had an instant negative effect ...

Re: Diet + regime experiment

Sorry to spam your post but I have ZERO tongue smell tonight. I just brushed my tongue and teeth with plain bi-carb and now it has no smell at all. First time ever. This is the combination of diet and sugar free mouth cleaning. I'm not going to get too excited because, who knows how long it will las...

Re: BB bacteria and temperature Change

Cold also kills them but neither is a permanent solution.

You can temporarily kill the bacteria with ice cream or hot water but there’s a thing called homeostasis which will prevent this mechanism from being the B.B. treatment you desire. Sorry.

Re: Diet + regime experiment

You might like to think about keeping a food and symptom diary too. I need to figure out how many days I’ve been on this diet especially because today my tongue smell has improved a little bit. (I’m 9 days in, I just checked and came back) Oh man, I hope this is the beginning of a trend of improveme...

Re: Diet + regime experiment

Cool, how long are you planning to stick with it? I’m doing a strict elimination diet which is a mixture of basic allergy and FODMAP. I haven’t been on it that long, (2 weeks maybe) so no changes yet. December 1st marks 3 weeks for me which is when I see my dietitian again. She said symptoms would W...

Re: Supervised Elimination Diet... list of allowed foods

For dead, The only fruit I’m allowed are pears. The very first food I list is pears.

For variety I buy puréed baby food pears, tinned/ sliced pears and fresh whole pears.

It’s stone fruit season here and Australia has the best fruit imaginable... but for me it’s only pear season. lol

Re: Supervised Elimination Diet... list of allowed foods

I can only eat what I’ve listed. She has never treated halitosis, this symptom is quite rare and most people don’t bother to get professional elimination diet help, making the chances even rarer still. But, she is not treating me anyway. I am. She is just an educated support person. No one should do...
