I have my BB under control already following a low choline diet and supplements (activated charcoal, probiotics, B2, etc). I’m not cured of course so I still try everything mentioned on the forum. I have a little bit of tongue coating in the morning which I do remove with a scraper and find that the...

I’ve recently purchased a metal tongue scraper after reading about them on another forum. I have to say I like it much better than the Tung brush. The Tung brush is okay but my new tongue scraper does a much better job. It takes a little getting used to at first because of the different shape (it is...

Hi bblovesme, If you suspect your BB is Type 1 gargling with metronidazole may potentially be effective for you. If you suspect your BB is Type 2, 3 or 4 ingesting it would probably be the better option. As for the probiotics even if you are not ingesting the metronidazole I’d still take them if I w...

I use a neti pot (mine looks a little different than yours) most days and it makes a huge difference in my PND. When you are done using up the premixed packets you can make your own blend by mixing equal parts baking soda and salt. I add a dash of hydrogen peroxide to the solution before using it an...

Malory, I posted that study about low choline diets as a warning not to attempt a diet that is too low in choline. The test subjects were fed a diet of less than 50 mg of choline a day and some but not all developed organ dysfunction (hepatosteatosis, liver and muscle damage, and lymphocyte apoptosi...

bblady, It’s best when taking both antibiotics and probiotics to wait at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after ingesting an antibiotic before taking probiotics to ensure the probiotics’ effectiveness. If you take them at the same time, the antibiotic will kill the good bacteria that you are trying t...

It is a relatively accurate instrument for the measurement of hydrogen sulfide but measures methyl mercaptan to about a 50% accuracy and dimethyl sulfide to an even lesser degree. When the predominant odour is methyl mercaptan , there is usually a low reading on the Halimeter when compared to the o...

Hopefulness wrote more detailed instructions a while back. Seems easy enough to follow. If I ever have to go back on metronidazole I’d much rather do this than taking it the ‘regular’ way. Anyway, I hope it works for you. Cheers, C. The trick with bb and metronidazole is never to swallow them, think...
