Yeah, the things you mention will only have a very temporary effect on oral pH. Can we think of a way to make it permanent?

I can smell mine! But as we get sensitized to it, I don't think I can smell it at the same power others can... I can do it by just breathing out, or breathing into the bed sheet etc. If you can smell yours, I suggest you use your finger to methodically try to find the source of the smell. Jus...

From what I've heard, an alkaline (pH >7) environment is better suited for most 'halitosis bacteria'. My dentist said people with an alkaline oral environment get more halitosis but less cavities, and people with acidic get more cavities but less halitosis. Mine? It's always alkaline, even after eat...

I'll be very happy if people tell me more often about my bb, so that I can understand what makes it better or worse. So, good advice! Shame it's not considered polite

Anyone in Europe or USA who can get hold of this?

One of the best treatments for Bacterial Overgrowth in the small intestine is Rifaximin . The brand names are: Xifaxan (US) Spiraxin, Zaxine, Normix, Rifacol (Europe) . Can anyone here get hold of any of these? It's not available in Sweden, where I am :-({|= Reward guaranteed to whoever finds it fir...

I also believe hypochlorhydria / achlorhydria is my problem (=little or no stomach acid). It can lead to bacterial overgrowth in stomach and small intestine, discussed here: http://www.badbreathhalitosis.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2660 And vice versa: bacteria can cause achlorhydria. That's why to t...

If you do find someone, please let me know, then we can combine our packages as I'm in Sweden too 8)

But you were probably just unlucky if the customs took your package. It probably won't happen if sent in a discreet envelope.

Hey, I met a bb sufferer in Oslo. He has been diagnosed with having candida and I remember he said that he gets b12 shots each month because he is deficient from it. Im not sure if I am deficient but Vit. b12 is also responsible for hair, nails and skin which I am having problems now. Are you in Nor...

A summary of my case : I'm almost convinced my BB is due to achlorhydria, which has led to bacterial overgrowth in stomach + small intestine (SIBO). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achlorhydria http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_bowel_bacterial_overgrowth_syndrome Apart from the BB, I have a cou...

Sux, I've often thought the same thing, that a low HCl may be behind it all. This can lead to bacterial overgrowth etc. No, I've never tried supplementing my food with Betaine HCl but maybe we should give it a go..? Part of the reason I think I may have low HCl production is because I have reflux (n...
