Stemmer uses the same rehearsed speech on everyone. He doesn't understand the nuances of the condition or look beyond the mouth for causes of BB. After seeing him for a consultation he will then tell you to book an appointment with his hygienist. She's very pleasant (unlike him) but if there's nothi...

Thanks hope - life's been good! I'm not getting too excited at this stage though, I had at least 8 consecutive days last month when I didn't have BB and then it returned BIG TIME. So, we'll see. What have I done? As documented elsewhere, I stopped using mouthwash / brushing my tongue and started eat...

You guys are being too harsh. Remember aydinmur said that we should eat what we want? I haven't had BB since Wednesday last week - this is my sixth consecutive day without it. Guess what? I've ate exactly what I wanted over these six days.

There's loads of posts on this forum about metronidazole. If you haven't done so already, use the search function to find them and read about peoples experiences. I thought about giving it a try, for a moment I thought it sounded like a great idea - oooh an antiobiotic that just kills the anaerobic ...

If you were able to find someone who knew more about this than Murat Aydin I would be surprised.... and I'd also want to speak to that person!! One supposed expert in the UK is Phillip Stemmer from the Fresh Breath Centre in Devonshire Place, London. Personally I thought he was a money grabbing rude...

There are various studies out there which show that organoleptic scores correlate well with Halimeter readings. I understand that there are odourous gases not detected by the Halimeter but it's certainly far from a useless instrument! It's biggest problem - and this goes for organoleptic assessments...

Alcohol might kill some of your bacteria but then it boosts them by at least three mechanisms according to aydinmur. Alcohol can definitely enhance my BB to terrifying extents! I've given up on xylitol after what aydinmur said about it fermenting to alcohol.

Thats fab news for you to be bb and worry free! I've have been considering this for a while but its gonna kill me as I have two yogurts a day and usually cereal with milk in the morning. I might try a day or two and see how I go Lisa, just switch to probiotic yoghurt (which could actually help redu...
