Re: This is what’s been working for me

Thank you! I’ll definitely try the Pepto tablet you recommend. How long do stay BB free when you follow your method? I think I get about 9 hours at the moment BB free? Probably an hour or two as usual before I start tasting SOMETHING in my mouth. However it remains significantly improved for at lea...

Re: Last Resort Treatment [LONG POST]

I know how desperate you feel right now, but I need to tell you that I did something similar and it didn’t work for me. I would hate for you to go through the same disappointment that I did. I went on a course of metronidazole, amoxicillin and clarithromycin for 2 weeks. I also used the BLISK12 pro...

Re: Last Resort Treatment [LONG POST]

Found this article about a guy who took antibiotics then did a fecal transplant by swallowing gelatin pills of his friend's poop: https://www.theverge.com/2016/5/4/11581994/fmt-fecal-matter-transplant-josiah-zayner-microbiome-ibs-c-diff Very interesting, especially how there seems to be signs of the...

Re: Last Resort Treatment [LONG POST]

I’ve passionately kissed my share of men with clear breath. It does nothing to help, not that that’s why I was doing it ;) No one would have this problem if the solution was as basic as spittle transfer. Did you do it while finishing up a 6 week course of heavy antibiotics leaving you with practica...

Re: Last Resort Treatment [LONG POST]

Did you also try fecal transplant? OK, OK so that's one thing I haven't tried. It seems like my problem is oral or sinus related based on all my symptoms and what gives me relief. A much smarter idea for my needs may be following up this treatment with a long kissing session with someone who never ...

Re: Promising research. Article is 3 years old tho.

http://abcnews.go.com/Health/Dental/story?id=119221 Great link. One of the few mainstream articles that doesn't blame the sufferers or their alleged lack of hygiene. It is one of my greatest fears that for some of us, halitosis is the natural state of our mouths and simply can not be changed. For i...

Last Resort Treatment [LONG POST]

I've found myself extremely depressed and full of regret lately. The majority of my youth has already passed me by. I've spent 10's of thousands on treatments, surgeries, doctor visits at home and abroad, and tried everything posted here with no lasting results. I'm so maladjusted and out of touch w...

Re: This is what’s been working for me

Fantastic! I think all BB sufferers should start with this treatment and go from there. Great contribution. Pretty much sums up what I'm doing now as well because all other treatments have completely lost effectiveness over the years. I recommend adding a final step. 7. Crush a pepto chewable tablet...

Lifelongsufferer wrote:@ttylxman2 Are you no longer using the chlorine bleach method?
I absolutely am. It is the best "mouth wash" I've found so far and still use it multiple times a day.
Very temporary but same with all others for me. Hydrogen peroxide is only about half as effective I find.

Re: Can everyone share their sure-fire quick fixes for social events?

I feel your pain. If I lick my hand I can't smell anything because the odor for me comes from the posterior region so I have to swipe the back of my tongue with my finger and try to detect odor that way. I generally can't taste a foul taste but I do wonder if I'm just accustomed to it and don't not...

Re: Can everyone share their sure-fire quick fixes for social events?

Really? Interesting I'll have to give them a try! I wonder the same thing-I'm leaning more towards it being the bacteria feeding on the drip, with the possibility of my oral bacteria count (the bad bacteria) being higher than normal, producing more odor. I've read that the mechanical acts of cleani...

Re: Can everyone share their sure-fire quick fixes for social events?

I am really late to this thread but for future reference this is my quick fix: 1) Scrape tongue, floss (I use waterpik), brush teeth 2) Dab of arm and hammer toothpaste on finger and reach into throat and clear out the lingual tonsils (IMPORTANT) 3) Rinse mouth thoroughly with a bleach and water so...

Re: bad breath after antibiotics

If probiotics and a strict diet don't fix your gut then you may need to take another course of antibiotics and rebuild from scratch. Wipe the slate clean. Comes with risks for sure but it's something to keep in mind.

Re: I think this minor celebrity is a sufferer.

This article is heart breaking. It's written so insensitively and goes as far as blaming his odor on a lack of hygiene. It's absolutely unfair that chronic BB and BO are not recognized as a difficult disease to treat but rather merely seen as a symptom of a lack of effort. On top of that.. This hits...
