lol, what makes you say Nick Drake had halitosis? I'm a big fan of his music.
He was incredibly depressed, but that could be the result of any number of things.

I had x-rays of my sinuses and nasopharynx done, but nothing was found to be abnormal. The only thing I had was minor swelling of the adenoids. This is crazy that doctors can find nothing anatomically wrong. Leads me to believe more and more it is a bacterial problem. I started the triple therapy th...

I've recently felt that my BB is coming from my throat. I have a chronic sensation of mucous that never seems to go away, and when I eat certain foods that coat the throat with protein or sugar, it seems to get significantly worse shortly after. I was wondering if anyone who feels they have a simila...

Thanks for the reply Halitosisux. I'm not entirely sure how pepto and other bismuth-containing substances work. I was always under the impression they coated the esophagus and stomach. It sounds like this could have an impact on absorption to some degree, which could maybe impact the ability of the ...

I've never been diagnosed, but i've had IBS like symptoms in the past too, often made worse by foods with gluten. To the people trying bismuth and antiobiotics for h. pylori: is anyone planning on doing both at the same time? Does the bismuth prevent proper absorption of the antibiotics? I finally g...

I've noticed that drinking hard liquor improves things the day after as well. I'd guess it's from the alcohol killing off bacteria in the throat. Can't imagine what else it would be.
How safe is taking that much bismuth long-term?

Yes Drastic I agree, I may not have been treated sufficiently enough. I'm still skeptical that is my problem though, as my symptoms were completely unaffected by the medication, and I have been scoped by an ENT and had sinus x-rays, which were normal. You should definitely pursue this though, if you...

I was treated with an oral anti-fungal medication to rule this out a few months ago. I was on it for two weeks I believe. Didn't clear up my problem, but I never strongly suspected it as a cause in my case anyways. It's definitely worth a try though, if you think it's a possibility. It's just a pill...

I have looked all over the internet, and in general physiology texts, but I can't find any good information on how the tonsils actually work in detail. Considering that tonsilar crypts are the result of millions of years of evolution, it seems reasonable that they serve a function. It seems possible...

Hey Halitosisux, I have had my thyroid hormones checked in a recent blood test, and they were normal. I've never had any liver testing done though. Have you ever had that done? I remember you mentioning someone you knew that had liver problems and BB. You may have said they were underweight too, if ...

I had a similar disgust for public bathrooms in hs, but i don't think avoiding them changed my habits. I've long wondered if anxiety in general is a HUGE contributing factor. Would you say you are germaphobic in general beyond this? Do you have a lot of other anxieties? Being constantly anxious caus...
