Dogs use charcoal for bad breath, why not humans?

Hello:

I always try to eat the raw diet, and it works when I do it.

I eat the good trio of bad-breath-destroying foods: Fruits, Vegetables, and Green Leafy Smoothies.

However, on weekends I like to break the diet (because I usually hang out with my friends on the weekends) so that's when I eat the evil trio of bad-breath-causing foods: grains, meats, and dairy.

This always makes my bad breath come roaring back. It is very obvious that non-raw food is the cause of my bad breath.

So I got to thinking. Dogs also have bad breath when they eat cheap dog food that has grain fillers in it. And pet stores sell "Charcoal" doggie biscuits to combat this horrible dog breath.

If it works for dogs, why not humans?

So today I went to the Vitamin store and bought "activated charcoal" pills. Pretty cheap. I plan to take it after my bad food that I eat on the weekend, to see if it helps dampen down the raging dragon breath that I get whenever I eat non-raw food.

Anybody else here ever try this?

Google "bad breath in dogs". It's apparently a very common thing, many dogs get BB from eating kibble. And there is only one cure... by putting em on a meat diet, fresh raw meat like animals eat in the wild. What is kibble made of? Grains!

There are several groups on yahoo with 10 000+ members feeding their dogs raw meat, i searched for bad breath and found dog owners who tried everything to cure their dogs BB and only a meat diet worked.

Dogs are omnivore, like humans. Well i'm not saying everything that apply to dogs apply to us too but i do wonder, i was never able to eat raw meat for longer than a week. Any taker? :)

I love eating meat. I tried the whole vegetarian thing for 2 months (back when I had bad breath) and of course that didn't make anything better. My breath was still bad, so I started eating meat again.

Plus I read that book The Blood Type Diet, which says that if you are Type O blood (which I am) you are primarily designed to be a meat eater. I don't really buy into everything that book says, but some of the correlations the author draws between blood type and diet seem to make sense.

Oh yeah, and charcoal didn't work for me. I tried that too. It only turned my poo black (sorry to be so graphic).
