Tonsil Surgery and Laser Surgery in the Tri State Area

Post by helpme123 »

Hello All,
I live in New Jersey and was wondering if anybody has gone to any ENT's or other type of specialist that was actually willing to perform a tonsillectomy or Laser surgery on your tonsils because of tonsil stones or bad breath. I have been to 3 ent's and they pretty much ignore my tonsils every time. I'd probably be willing to pay out of pocket for the surgery at this point, just for a chance at having it work. That being said pretty much any ENT within several hours driving distance will do. Please let me know. Thanks guys!

Hello helpme123. I don't have an answer for you other than a suggestion. Please read the posts in this blog and yuu will see that tonsillectomy hasn't helped anyone with removing bb. I know what it's like to hope for a treatment and be willing to do anything to get it done because I'm exactly where you are. I just don't want to see you waste your money and get unnecessary surgery. I had tonsil stones and they disappeared when I completely gave up dairy. The bb didn't but I no longer have those gross sticky things in my throat. Not sure if that will work for you but worth a try. Best wishes

Well that's not necessarily true, I can think of two people that were fully healed by tonsillectomies, they are coconuthead and the other person is oneday111, then there are the people who got healed by the tonsil and adenoid surgery (though I must admit I'm a little suspicious of the effectiveness of the adenoid surgery being a solution when a tonsillectomy is not).

But you're right in that on the whole the problem is not the tonsils, and there are a lot of people who have shitty tonsils but not strong bad breath out in the world.

I personally think if you get a lot of tonsil stones and they are generally a real inconvenience then you might as well get them sliced. I know in the case of coconuthead hers were really infected and for oneday when he rubbed his tonsils they stunk bad. So it depends what condition are your tonsils in op?
