Hello all, anybody from Canada here?
How did you get to see an ENT or GE?

I went to a family doctor today, told him, I had pressure in my stomach at night and during the day, sour taste, bad breath, nausea. Have problems sleeping at night because of this.

I told him a barium swallow was done (little bit of acid reflux) but I have no heartburn

Dentist found bacteria overgrows in tees and positive breath test

I told him I took proton pump inhibitor and they did not work.

he said they do work....

I should use over the counter acid medication. I told him I did and they do not help plus I have no heartburn.
I ignored what I said.

I asked to see a specialist and he said he will fax a referral to a GE but it would probably not work or take 3 to 4 month.

Great, that's what you get from a free health care system.

I am on my own..

Right now I am trying Betaine with meals.

Not from Canada. I'm paying and it's the same. Doctors don't know what to do and they don't want to deal with such a nasty case.

In canada only basic health cnot is free. Dentist, eyes and special treatments are not covered. But its very hard to see specialists. Long wait times and doctor shortages. We have insurance through work. Money is not the issue.

But you are right. The doctors want to get rid of you. Here is your medication and good bye...
