It's expensive having Halitosis

Post by thanatos »

Besides the products I buy to fix this problem, I have found that this condition can be very expensive in other ways.

My truck broke down today and I had to have it towed to the dealer. I rode with the tow truck driver and tried my best not to talk or breathe as the windows were rolled up.

Once there, I signed the log sheet indicating I wanted a free shuttle ride back home. I signed in and sat down in the lobby waiting for the shuttle to come by. Coincidentally, I saw a woman sign in right after me (about 10 minutes after) and I heard her say "Oh, so and so has the same last name as me"

That so and so was me.

I then realized that once everyone boarded the shuttle van, she would probably ask who the person was that shared the same last name. That would be me and that would mean I would have to engage her in conversation about our shared last name in a van full of people with the windows rolled up. We all know how devastating such a scenario would be.

I then immediately crossed my name off the list and called a taxi to come pick me up. I ended up paying $40 to get home when I could have gotten home for free, just to avoid having to fill up a van full a people with my stank ass breath.

As I was waiting for the taxi, I was just hoping the driver was an immigrant (less talking, god bless them) and/or they kept the windows rolled down.

Luckily he had the windows rolled down.

Thank God. He probably didn't smell my breath as he was taking me home.

I had to go to a shop steward meeting 5 hours away from the town i was working in and everybody decided it would be better to just rent one of those 15 seater vans...

Booked a flight to the meeting.

Story of my ****ing life.

I only work alone Otherwise, It's a no go.

Would I rather have halitosis living on the street or have halitosis and pay rent?

That's pretty much my only real dilemma in life.

Chill out. I'm going through the same ordeal and I'd rather keep it positive.

Trunks, I still think you're wrong, although maybe you use humor to keep from crying. The idea of being stuck in a van with co-workers for any length of time horrifies me.
