I have to agree with Hali. If you don't have the guts to speak up it isn't ever going to change. You can't wait for the magic fairy to come. I know everyone approaches things different but in this case there is no other way only you have a shot of changing this.

Exactly Susie. I regret saying that BBsucks doesnt deserves to be cured, what I should have said is what chance have you possibly got of ever being cured if its something you'll always require a professional to diagnose for you.

Stressedout, yes I know it is difficult. The first time I mentioned it to a dentist I was a total nervous wreck but just threw myself into it. I kept telling myself it has to be worth the short term cringeing embassassment with a person whose job it is to deal with such questions. I couldnt even say the words 'bad breath' I use the word malodour and they both looked at me so oddly almost like they wanted to laugh, but once I said it they were great and it suddenly felt like I was talking about a 'normal' problem. I think they admired my courage to mention it. From then on whenever I had to mention BB to anyone I made it much easier on myself by mentioning it indirectly - saying things like my girlfriend keeps complaining about my breath - so as not to make it seem such a big issue - while at the same time making it impossible for them to shrug you off.

I don't hold much faith in doctors...they will almost all be clueless about bad breath. Its not something they were trained to cure. Its better to do your research on possible causes..then go in and ask for certain tests. Anti fungal antibiotics have cured a very few amount of people on here..most it does not. Candida is sometimes a cause and so the anti fungal helps some.

I think a holistic doctor will be alot more open, understanding to your problem..and will know more about how to decrease the bad breath...with natural remedies. He will run tests on your blood, allergies, etc. A holistic doctor I think on average is more knowledgeable about candida.

Or go to an ENT to check your sinuses. If you have fecal breath..I always think of the cause of being something to do with your intestines/digestive system. Because in my early 20's I was a heavy drinker and after beer binges next day I would breath out a musky fecal smell all day long. On those days my ex would often tell me did you fart?

Also when I eat alot of salads and try to stick to veggies and fruits..no junk... I feel my breath improves. And when I start eating meat, dairy, sweets...I feel like my breath gets worse.
Alot of raw foodists claim their breath gets fresher..some claim they dont really ever have bad breath anymore. I have read that eating a raw food veggie diet cures alot of problems. You should give it a try to eat more salads..veggies..and who knows maybe a raw diet will cure you...just something to think about. Hope I helped a little.

sometimes our chances are higher to help ourselves than getting real help from "doctors". its obvious that this site has far smarter folks than majority of those who call themselves doctors. i know that mentioning BB to my doctor long ago was a waste of courage. so it all depends.

it doesnt even have to be all raw, steamed is perfectly fine. and yes to seeing a holistic specialist, everyone on this site should try it at least once

I think you are right. I think if someone just eats alot of salads, steamed veggies it should give someone a good bb reduction..or even cure it hopefully. That really would be a blessing if living a life of eating cooked veggies and salad, gives you the same level of clean breath as a raw diet.

I'm getting better at eating better. Before I hated to eat salads and never did. Now I'm starting to like it...key is get alot of good dressings. Also I found a way to make store bought italian dressing to taste better. You know how the canola oil seperates at the top. Well I pour out most of the oil and I find it tastes so much better. Put some cucumbers and tomatoes in there..so refreshing. I'm loving roasted garlic with red peppers, sun dried tomatoes. I just tried hummus for the first time ever, bought at safeway..brand is Athenos. It is the red pepper flavor..soooo delicious and packed with alot of flavor. It reminds me of mexican bean dip, has a sharp flavor that reminds me of having cheddar mixed in, so good. Also I tried the athenos artichoke and garlic..and the taste doesnt agree with me...it tastes like there is olives in there but there is not from what I read on the side. I'm eating my salad right now with Maries Honey Dijon..soooo delicious! I love this dressing.
Unfortunately there is honey and sugar in there..guess thats why its so good. There is egg yolk but no cheese! Yay..so I dont feel that icky feeling like Im eating a bunch of dairy on top of my salad. I figure if its keeping me on my salad path then it works for now.
Just the thought of going all raw...makes me feel so lucky to enjoy the taste of cooked veggies. I'm trying to make myself able to live off of cooked veggies/salads first. Then once I get the hang of that..I will try to make it so I'm eating more raw or steamed. Good stuff.
