Baking powder or Bicarbonate of soda?

hello people,

I am in the U.K and am unsure what baking soda is.
Can someone please tell me if its Bicarbonate of Soda or Baking powder.
Please forgive me for the somewhat silly question.

thanks for that ruch ,

i had actually been using baking powder from the time i have been on this website and really it made no difference.

I will start on bicarb of soda asap ,
