I did not know how important digestive enzymes are untill i started to read more about them. I also take them on empty stomach so they can eliminate toxins from the blood.
Hi Billie,
1)How long have you been on digestive enzymes?
2) How much has it improved your bb? Do you feel comfortable talking to others face to face?

Mike987,

I was intrigued by your suggestion of ingesting the odorzout, so I tried it yesterday by taking 2 teaspoons after a meal and cup of strong, black coffee. I also followed up with my usual brushing and rinsing my entire mouth. I immediately noticed a difference. Usually after I drink black coffee, even after freshening my mouth, the taste and smell of the coffee generally returns with bad breath from my stomach. Well, this time with the odorzout, I did burp up a little liquid, but it had no coffee taste, and I was unable to detect an odor from it. I did not detect any bad odors from my stomach for about an hour, maybe even 2 hours. Also, usually when I drink coffee, my urine has an odor. This was not the case when I went to the bathroom about an hour after taking the odorzout. I was unable to smell anything from my urine. Keep in mind, the odorzout I used is in granule form, so it is very dry and gritty, and was very hard to get down. Drinking a lot of water was the only way I could get it down, but it was difficult to do. I want to continue this experiment, but with this stuff in powder form, so I have just ordered odorzout cat litter additive powder from Amazon. This is also a completely safe product for ingesting; it is described as being safe for cats to lick and ingest after cleaning themselves. http://www.amazon.com/Litter-Additive-P ... 929&sr=8-1

I also take liquid chlorophyll, and I have noticed a decrease in body odor overall, but it doesn't work as well as it used to. I suspect my body is building a tolerance for it. I take 1 tablespoon liquid chlorophyll, once per day. It has never helped in decreasing breath odors though. I believe the zantac has helped reduce odors from my stomach, my stomach is more calm. I still have dry mouth and odors that come from the back of my throat. I still rely very heavily on gums and mints to help me get through each day at work. I hate this. :|

Awesome, thank you for trying this bblady.

I've spent a ton of money lately and cures and nothing thus far has worked for me.... And I can't easily get this without having someone ship it to me from the US. I'm really anxious to hear more though. Get eating that stuff, but if you begin to feel ill, you should probably stop.

Oh, are you still taking Zantac? I am, but I honestly don't know if it's helping a little or not at all.. It might be doing a little bit for me... Maybe. I haven't woken up in awhile with a very sour stomach... But I still get reactions,. back draft, etc... Guuuh I dunno....

Anyway, here's my new gameplay:

- Find a Periodonist to help me with my gums
- Get the spray bottle version of Neil Med for nasal irrigation
- Want to try consuming Odoroutz (but need to hear more from you first)

Oh, and about your body building building a tolerance to chlorophyll, that shouldn't be possible. From what I understand, the only reason something could build a resistance or immunity to something is if the chemical/drug/substance you're consuming physically attacks and kills the odor causing culprit.. Any few bacteria or whatever that do survive already have what it takes to live through the attack, so eventually those survivors recolonize and all of them are immune to it.

As for Chlorophyll, or something like odoroutz, they don't actually attempt to kill bacteria, right? They just absorb odor. There's no way something could build a resistance to such a thing, from my understanding.

Your breath has either gotten stronger since then (with no relation to that product) or perhaps there was some placebo affect in place that had your body in a better overall condition. Maybe it was also just wishful thinking?

Anyway, it sounds like either a strong coincidence, or a relatively effective method of treatment, eating the odoroutz. Haha, as strange as it is, keep it up. If I could buy the same thing here I'd be eating it now too!

Mike, If you can afford the treatment, do not delay periodontal work. You do not want to wait till the worst.
With already deep gum pockets, you have a high risk of bacteria affecting the root/bone area of your teeth. And at this stage its very difficult to reverse back to healthy teeth. Gum cleaning is easier compared to root/bone area cleaning of teeth. If I were you, I would look for someone today.

There use to be this old thing. Brushing your teeth with baking soda and gargling with hydrogen peroxide. I use to gargle with hydrogen peroxide and it use to make my mouth superdry. Not sure if it helped against bb though.

Does this combination actually help a bit? Can somebody write step for step what I should do?

Okay.. So I looked up periodontist this morning on the net, then went there before work.

To my surprise, they measured my pockets and apparently none of them were over 4mm. There were some 3s and 4s, maybe a couple 2mm .. Before I came to Japan, a dentist measured pockets much deeper... Perhaps the water pik-ing I've been doing the last half a year has actually helped me out!

.. They said my gums were not bad.. But they want me to come back next week so they can do something for a chipped tooth?.. I'm not sure how big of a deal that is.. Maybe they're just pulling money from me.... They said I must grind my teeth during sleep or something.. First time I heard of this problem, though maybe I do grind my teeth a bit.

I really wanted something to be wrong with my gums.. that would have given me a direction... ****ing hell! Back to square one... I don't know why my gums become sensitive so often..... I'm thinking dry mouth is probably causing all my dental woes....

One thing I got from this is that I might be brushing my teeth too hard.. Maybe that irritates the gums.

Out of desperation for something useful during the visit, I asked what kind of toothpaste they recommend. Of course they were selling some special, not available in stores brand.. The women I spoke to claim to personally use it.. I went ahead and bought it, for the hell of it. There's nothing unique about it except maybe it has Vitamin A in it... ...*SIGH* ...

So anyway, they had a little spinny tool that shredded off plaque and tartar buildup... My teeth and mouth should have been very clean, but I had a couple reactions today anyway... It hurts when students I like joke about having an allergy to me. I even caught a couple whiffs of backdraft .. once again, a fart smell... What the ***k.

I emailed Dr. Yaegaki, and he sad my first priority is to take care of the periodontal pockets... He also said that there are bad breath specialists in Japan, but they're just interested in your money.. He went on to say that he doesn't think my breath is a digestive issue because malodor from the gut only comes from extremely rare diseases and longterm cancer, and he says I don't have them because I'm still alive after all this time of BB.

Well knowing that the problem probably isn't the gums (It never seemed like any smell was coming from there except when I still had my tonsils, and it was the tonsil stone smell, not a crap gas smell) I don't know what to do...

I'm thinking of going to the hospital and seeing what kind of drug they could prescribe me for dry mouth...

I also want to eat that cat litter stuff..... That's really rock bottom, isn't it... I thought I was onto something obvious with the gums ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Mike, You maybe disappointment, but its a good sign that you don't have perio. Some call it a irreversible disease. As per my periodontist - 4mm is a deep pocket (infected or not infected, it still needs to be on watch). Anyways, I found this online
http://www.oravital.com/web/pro/en/pro-index.php.
Anyone, heard of this?
I have emailed them and waiting for their reply.

Hi Tibya,
I'm been taking a high dose of digestive enzymes for 3 weeks now, but i bought some right before christmas so i could eat everything i wanted without feeling bloated and having diarhea the next day.
I still have BB, but my tongue is not as coated as it used to be, and i'm not even on a diet!!!! I can't talk to people without them smelling me, but i know i'm on the right pad.
I've been eating (normal) like i used to eat and i have no problems.
Just going on the diet is so difficult for me i just keep failing.

Thanks Billie. Any particular brand you are using? I found several when I searched online. I am making a list that I can take to my physician for my next appointment. Also, how did you decide on the dosage amount? Trial and error or it was suggested by your doctor?
Thanks for helping on this, because I think my bb may be from stomach/food habits not getting digested well and my saliva is always acidic.

I'd like to try digestive enzymes, so I'm curious too...

I pretty sure my food isn't very digested.. it's just kind of a mess when it comes out... My saliva also always tastes acidic...

Meanwhile, nothing else has worked. Not a single ****ing thing on that list that I've been able to try has worked for me... I think I'm going to stop taking Zantac. Nothing is doing any good.\

Is anyone having any luck with any of this stuff?

edit:

Ugh. It really smells just like my farts. It's definitely digestion related.... I don't understand how this is possible though, and not recorded by medical science.

Could the vapors from my digesting food get stuck in the mucus, and as the mucus gets dry, it airs out the smell of what is basically shit?

Could vapors be coming from my actual intestines, up through the stomach? I'm always hungry and my stomach always 'feels' full of acid, so could the valve constantly be draining, but is instead letting shit vapors from the intestines fly out? It's definitely more noticeable while I'm talking though, and often seems to 'activate' while doing so, though perhaps I just expel that much more air while speaking as opposed to simply breathing....

I am still going on zantec and hydrogen per oxide rinse. It has helped in reduction of bb , I would say by 10-15%. I was able to talk to my neighbor yesterday for 30 mins at about 2-3 feet distance (not face to face) and it was in open yard. Also the thick coating at the back of my tongue has diminished. So it has worked for me in some way, but how long can I stay on zantec? I have wisdom tooth extraction tomorrow but I think my bb is not related to wisdom tooth. Lets see how it goes.

Any Cures

Post by Tylan456 »

I am like many of you who have tried every product mention here, but I also tried using Corsodyl mouthrinse, which I order from Amazon, and I could not believe the way it eliminated my BB odor for at least four hours until I ate a plain salad, but it minimized the plague build up and my tongue was not dry for a long time. It has a strong taste to it but it worked, until I brushed my teeth again at work. It is also known to stain your teeth yellow, but my mouth had a clean feeling for hours, because I performed the breath test on my wrist. I just tried this product yesterday, and I hope it continues to work, I will be carrying a spray bottles with me for now on for times when I can't brush in between eating, to see if it continues to assist with the breath odor. Just thought I would share that bit of information with everyone here. I am just like most of you who suffer each and everyday with this continuing issue. I have post nasal drainage, coating on the tongue, and terrible room filling breath. I just purchased a ozoniser machine to purifiy my drinking water so I can get rid of any candida bacterica in my stomach, I hope that this helps my issues.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to post an update on odorzout, which I've now tried over the course of a few days at my work. There have been times I believed it helped reduce the odors from my stomach, and other times where I didn't notice any difference at all. I will explain. The times I really noticed a change was immediately after I consumed black coffee. I would take 1 heaping teaspoon of the odorzout powder with water, and then brush my teeth and freshen my mouth. The odorzout powder quickly removed the coffee taste from my mouth. Usually after I drink coffee, I always burp up a little of it afterwards, probably because of GERD. Well, with the odorzout, the liquid that came up (after I had the coffee and later the odorzout) did not have the coffee taste or smell. On another day, I made the mistake of consuming too much aloe vera juice, about 4 ounces undiluted, which really irritated the hell out of my stomach and left me with stomach regurgitation for hours. I started taking aloe vera juice as a supplement for GERD, anyway, too much of a good thing is also bad, which I learned the hard way. On that day, nothing helped to diminish the odors from my stomach, including the odorzout. I even increased the dose of odorzout, to 2 teaspoons at a time, about 1 hour apart. While I felt the odorzout deodorized my mouth, but it did nothing to mask the odors and small amounts of liquid coming from my stomach. Needless to say, that was one of the worst bad breath days I had in a very long time.

I suppose with proper diet and good oral hygiene habits, the odorzout does help to reduce SOME stomach odors, but it does not work miracles. The question I still have is, how much of this stuff should be taken and for how often, when using it to minimize odors from the stomach? I tried 1 and 2 teaspoon portions, spacing it about 2 hours in between. It may have helped, because I did not sense odors coming from my stomach at those times, especially within the first hour after taking it. I also noticed there was no odor from my urine. The odorzout works very well for deodorizing the mouth, I noticed this each time with the coffee, but it does not keep the mouth fresh once the residue has left. I still rely heavily on chewing gum and drinking water frequently for my mouth. I do have dry mouth, so I would still need gum or mints with plenty of water, just to manage my dry mouth issues.

I am still taking zantac everyday, and the only noticeable change I've had while on zantac is a calmer stomach. I'm still also taking liquid chlorophyll, and I've never noticed any change with my breath from it. The chlorophyll does help reduce body odors.

I wish I had better news. I may or may not continue the odorzout. I'm not as excited over it as I was a week or so ago. While I have not experienced any side effects from using it, a part of me worries about possible unknown effects in using a high dose of this stuff over a long period of time. I am using odorzout powder form for cat litter, and the label says it is safe if consumed by small animals, including ferrets and birds. Still, I am concerned about this, which has made me hesitant about this product.
