hi guys!was reading all your experiences since the start of this thread..and i must say i share exactly all of your sentiments..

sabi nila face your problems headon and express yourself..pero how can you face it and express your repressed feelings kung ang problem mo ay yung mismong mode mo ng communication..your voice!!..and when other people would rather not hear it diba?..it's sooo hard..there are so many successful people in the world just by having the gift of "gab"..sadly,we dont have that luxury to express what we feel whenever and however long we would want to..it's so ridiculous and embarassing!!!

anyway i can go on and on sharing all of my frustrations..but ive also made some attempts to find a cure..and i must say that i've managed to find a decent fix for this:

so if you guys get the kit found at ----> http://www.breezecare.co.nz/

also dont lose hope and have a positive outlook towards life..remember the book of job and how he suffered greatly for his faith.

i would love to meet up with you guys din, just pm me or maybe we could setup a meeting one of these days naman and do something fun diba?

Hi guys! I've been lurking this thread months ago when I was so down and depressed, that I shut my world to family and friends. I'm a freelancer, working online so I was able to survive in my own little world.

I researched endlessly for underlying signs and cure to bb, and that's how I came across to 'tonsil stones.' I poke my tonsils with cotton buds and sniff it - ugh, it really smells bad, like feces. I poke it until it exposed the crevices and formed shallow crypts, but I didn't see any tonsil stones. I even used 1cc syringe to aspirate in the crevices, nada! However, a small amount (about 1/4 of a cotton bud) of yellow liquid would ooze from my right tonsil if I push it, and it smells like hell!

My dental hygiene is perfect, I have four amalgams that are all intact. However, 4 years ago I had lower molar tooth extraction, the dentist was stupid enough to pull-out only the tooth's crown, and never informed me about it. 2 years after, it was my instinct that led me to another dentist and have that gum space checked manually, he said a fragment was left and performed extraction for 1.5 hours. He commented that my molar tooth (next to the tooth taken out) seems to be "slanted", hence already covering the fragment making it hard to pull-out. Few months after that I had (upper) braces, so I feel confident that an ortho is taking care of my teeth. She knows my dental history and had x-ray taken showing my whole teeth, I asked if by any chance there is still a fragment left, she assured me there is none. More than a year after, I noticed a deep pocket formed to the "slanted" molar, I insisted to deep clean the tooth despite my ortho's refusal. The smell in that area is still distinct even after 2 sessions of deep cleaning and a nightly Waterpik, that I decided to have an x-ray taken specifically to that gum space, apparently the second root was still left and was touching my slanted molar creating that deep pocket. Fragment was taken out through minor surgery.
Out of 10, I can say my bb decreased to 7.

Sorry guys if this is getting long, but I'm just trying to point out how dentists/doctors can sometimes be unreliable (or maybe I am just unfortunate!)

Moving along, I developed a chronic post-nasal drip a year ago. Weird that I hardly noticed cause I got used to having it until I started researching about bb. I remembered PND started when I was taking Iterax (antihistamine) as sleeping pill.

2 weeks ago, I visited an ENT only because I wanted to know if the yellow liquid's an infection. She said that the liquid will soon form into stones - which I am not convinced ... what do you guys think? She also said I have allergic rhinitis which most doctors would say anyway.

My bb dropped significantly to level 2 after taking and doing these:
1. Being assertive in my dental care.
2. Taking meds that the ENT prescribed
Omeprazole - silent acid reflux. True enough, throat phlegm lessened significantly.
Sinupet - PND lessened, although it still present.
* Sputum is clear with normal viscosity; its just a week ago that I noticed a mix tinge of yellowish phlegm which I'll consult in my next visit.
3. Taking multi-vitamins and vitamin C chewable
To strengthen my immune system - by doing this, the tonsils (lymphatic system) need not to work even on slight mouth/body infections.
4. Changed my toothpaste from Colgate to a herbal one. I noticed that Colgate/Aim/Crest triggers my PND.
5. Defecate everyday - very, very important.
6. Diet modification - 3 days juice cleansing to clean out my body. Balanced diet, more on veggies and fruits. I still eat meat, chocolates and dairy products in moderation with lots of water.
7. Exercise - 30 minutes a day. To sweat out some toxins and boost immune system.
8. Dental hygiene - toothbrush, Waterpik, Astringosol or baking soda gargle (especially if with sour taste in tongue)
I also swipe my tonsils with oral Betadine every AM/PM.
9. Sleep, relax and try to be happy.

The bb left comes from the slight PND and dry mouth - cause I still get conscious talking to people. Do you guys have any solution to this aside from drinking water and sucking candy?

Sorry again if this is really long. I just hope that this would help people with similar case. I know how embarrassing it is to have bb.

Finally found out the root cause and it's the ****ing acid that goes up to my esophagus every time it's triggered. Certain items can trigger such as spicy, alcohol, milk and fatty foods. There's more, no need to list all of the food and beverages here just the common.

The tricky part here is it can also be triggered positional and worse when lying down. I ask some member in the GERD forum with the same symptom about ways to prevent it from getting worse when you lie down and their tip works. Another position of my body can worsen the acid but by avoiding the position and food that trigger can minimize halitosis by 95%.

My critics think that every time they criticize my breath goes bad, like when someone criticize my breath started to smell awful. That's funny stuff lol. Now why would I do something like that to myself lol. That is someone Else's personal opinion during the first week that my breath started to smell weird. Opinion that later on became a propaganda and were used against me. Anyway their garbage opinion had no effect on me, emotion had nothing to do with halitosis (in my case).

Hey guys.

Whew. I so glad I found fellow Filipinos on here.

So here's my story.

I have chronic bad breath. I think I do. It's just so weird because my mom would always deny that I do have bad breath. I made her smell my breath. I exhaled directly at her nose and still, she denies that I have bad breath. It's so depressing. When I drive the care and she's on the passenger seat, I talk and sing a lot (sometimes I do it intentionally to see if she says something or smells something and tell me) but no, I ask her she always tells me she doesn't smell anything.

My sister though always notice it. There was one time, my mom, my sister, and I were all insider the car. I was on the back and my sister was on the passenger seat. I was singing as usual and all of a sudden she turned around and told me she can smell my breath and that it stinks. She always tells me my breath stinks.

SO NOW DI KO NA ALAM ANO ANG GAGAWIN KO! huhuhu NAKAKAHINA NG LOOB.

This is ruining my life! I already went to an ENT here in the US. He prescribed me with steroid nasal spray. I also went to see a physician assistant who prescribed me antibiotics and advised me to do nasal irrigation. I already went to an allergist to see if the PND is caused by allergens. Turns out I am allergic to cockroaches and dustmites.

I really want to find a cure for this, whatever it takes. When I move out, I will do what the allergist told me to do. I'll buy dustmite proof sheets and all that. Yes I am desperate and I'm pretty sure we all are.

I am sure that my bad breath is caused by PND. Also, I had this problem when I moved to the US. When I was in the Philippines, I did not have post nasal drip and I was not this paranoid about bad breath. huhuhu

I AM JUST SO SAD THAT NO DOCTORS OUT THERE NA NAGSESPECIALIZE SA HALITOSIS!!! I WISH I WAS RICH ENOUGH TO START A STUDY ON WHAT EXACTLY IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF HALITOSIS AND THE CURE! :C
