After I woke up at 25 past 1 I was let out at 6pm. turbines weren't touched. my father had to drive me home. it really was a breeze but i don't want to jinx it and be writhing in pain tomorrow lol. i spent every last penny and i think it was worth it cured or not, i can rule out adenoids/tonsils/cysts. but 2 weeks tops for the wound to heal fully i bet. i know i stunk my dads car out, it was a bloody kind of smell though he didn't say anything lol.

Yes, I'm still here and I read everyone's posts. It's nice to see people taking action and having success. People have been reaching out to me directly by sending their email and then calling or texting. That's why I haven't been on here that much. Also, no one has asked me anything on the forum recently. I see Mindy's great progress and I'm glad people are able to communicate with her through the whole process. FedUp and I have been emailing directly, needless to say I'm thrilled for him and can't wait until he can enjoy life again.

Ok, maybe I missed a couple questions.

Archimonde, NO, you can't keep your tonsils. You absolutely need both tonsils and adenoids removed. Don't make the same mistake I did, but in the opposite order.

Kite, get your tonsils and adenoids removed. And if your kids have it too, get theirs out now because it's a lot less painful to have a tonsillectomy as a kid than an adult.

Jiazzsy, yes I had PND, especially with dairy. Keep fighting to get adenoids removed and search for cysts. Some ENT will do it if you demand it.

Jimi, they only perform turbinate reduction when you have a septoplasty too. FedUp was lucky to find a doc who did adenoidectomy without septoplasty or maybe he didn't need it.

So everyone, this is my humble theory. Tonsil stones and cysts are the same exact thing. The only difference is that the tonsils are bigger and are near the vocal cords and when they vibrate, tonsil stones pop out of the tonsil crypts. The adenoids are up behind the nose and there's no vibration or movement up there. So the bacteria that's forming these stones has no where to go and they stay lodged in the adenoid crypts. That's why ENT's are calling them cysts. They're embedded in the adenoids. And of course there are the ones embedded in tonsil regrowth as Mindy had. Regardless, the stones and cysts produce the same fecal stench. We just don't see the evidence from the adenoid cysts because there's nothing forcing them out as with the tonsils. Does this make sense and sound logical? Please give me your thoughts.

@9YearsToFindCure, I wanted to know if you also suffered from nasal bb or was it just from the mouth? Also did antibiotics ever help you even temporarily?

Is it possible for this to be the problem with no bb from the nose?

I'm asking because I only suffer from mouth bb (but it's still very bad and can be room filling). Antibiotics never help me. And I've tried pretty much everything. However I'm certain it's coming from the throat area because it gets worse whenever I have PND.

I got a tonsillectomy this year (didn't help but no regrets) but left my adenoids. I'm now wondering if this is something I should explore. Thanks.

Jenny, nasal bb sometimes. Mouth all the time. It varied but I feel mouth vs nasal is irrelevant. Your nose could be clogged from PND and adenoids. Maybe you have small nostrils or maybe it's just the way you're built. Antibiotics never really helped. I think it might have taken the taste away sometimes but that's it. At this point, I pretty much guarantee that it's your problem. Go back and read all the posts on this thread from the beginning. It's not something you should explore, it's something you should demand! And then you can change your screen name to 9months.

First off there's no one who pisses me off on the forum except Jimi, yep just you J. You're lucky I have a sense of humor and a caring heart for everyone else on this site.

Second, I don't get niotifications that I have personal messages, I just see them if I log in. Which I haven't in a while, so sorry for late responses!!!!

Third and most important, it's been 1 month since my surgeries, and this morning I went to an invited convention for a hobby of mine. I thought perfect, I can go speak freely to people I barely know.
I did just that. It was liberating as I expressed myself like I had not done in 20 years.
Of course no one told me I had bb. But more importantly I was engaged in conversation with not a single nose rub or step back/disengage.
Feeling very good. But like I said I have had this affliction for 20 years, and disappointments along the way. I have not a complete foul fuming mouth since my scabs fell off from surgery. I can also use store bought mouthwash that seems to freshen, where before it seemed to just magnify the stink.

FedUp, I know the exact funky smell you describe. I had it for 1.5 weeks post-op, so honestly I was discouraged because I could smell myself and taste the grossness.
Give it a full 2 weeks!!

If I would be MindyB, and my stinky ass would just be saved by getting info on this site, I would be eternally grateful. She attacked me for making a joking comment about her having plastic surgery. Everybody knew that is a joke, but not her.

Instead of being thankful that her smelly ass is saved, she started to attack me back at every little smirk I posted here.

I am shocked how ungrateful a person can be. I mean this site saved her life, she can function again finally. And be bb free. But now, she does not think it is appropriate to swallow her pride and say thank you.

Day 3 post op- just a quick update. still sensing a fecal smell up there but 9years did say to wait til all heals up before making a final judgment. went out yesterday my mouth felt horrendous- warm and just disgusting i was talking and could smell the stench a few yards in front of me. back in work tomorrow too, this is gonna be a long 2 week wait to see if it clears up.
