The pineapple works for the tongue coating
Hi Summerside,

I too tried the bleach mouthwash. It made my tongue yellow and the sour taste was still there. I haven't tried doing the bleach nasal wash because I'm afraid of trying it. Please update as soon as you have your sense of smell back. Hoping and praying we all get through this situation.
Do you have p d or reflux? My sour taste comes and goes. I am planing to get a refereal for an ent
I will try the nasal rinse with oil of oregano too. So desperate
Hi summerside,

Yes I have PND but the colour has always been clear and I don't have runny nose, just clear coloured PND. I don't have reflux but I burp frequently due to constant swallowing. I didn't go to an ENT doctor yet and I'm afraid to tell my problem to my family doctor. Usually in Canada we need our family doctors referral for a specialist. Right now the hydrogen peroxide has been the most effective mouth wash compared with the bleach solution.

Same here i live in Edmonton. I was afraid to go to a doctor for 20 years. Think about it. Just tell the doctor. Other people noticing is wsy more embarrsssing. I couldnt tell my last fsm doc but i will look for a new one and will. We are just covering our real problem. Try to find the root.

Thanks Summerside,

I live in Toronto. They have a lot of BB clinics here as well but I don't think they will help you find the solution. Usually they will just give lots of mouthcare products to cover the smell. I'll tell my family doctor soon, trying to be brave. My family knows about my problem and they're very supportive. Have you tried any tests yet like endoscopy or SIBO test?

Hi Summerside,

When I asked my mom and brothers they said they smell nothing and sometimes they smell something but not offensive. So I don't know who to believe because when I talk to strangers they scratch their nose or some step back. I can read body language pretty well. This disease is really frustrating. When you do the hydrogen peroxide wash do you still have a little bit of sour taste? And how is your tongue coating?

Its so embarrassing to ask anybody to smell your breath.
My tongue coating is gone since I chew on fredh pineapple.
I swish and garge with clorox, but only 1/4 tsp on 120 ml water
Sour taste so far gone but not sure if that is because my sense of taste is messed up.
Only diet restriction is sugar

@Summerside. We are all curious, can you ask your "confident", child or husband how's your stench smell is doing after you've started the bleach therapy.
Post your update, plz.

I'm so sorry, Ana. I assume you have type 3 or type 4 halitosis. First you have to determine what type of Hali you have.
Bleach is good for type 1 and type 2 halitosis bearers, I've stated many times in my recent posts. Good luck.

BTW, I'm bb free still, almost 47 days. God bless You All. [-o< [-o< [-o<

people start with only a drop of bleach in the glass, and see how you take it....dont do the recommended dosage by that doctor mentioned at the beggining.....it will be too much.....even though he claims it is still safe....
This is me, Jimi Stein, I created this site in December 2005. Welcome.

Hey, I want to ask you guys, after I rinse with the solution the bleach taste usually goes away for good after like 1 hour and something if I don't eat or drink anything, after how long do you eat or drink? Is it bad if I don't let the taste go away?

I'm starting to feel a bit nauseated after doing this. Maybe I'm using too much bleach and not enough water.
