You dont say much about your history etc, would be a lot more useful on here if you do that first.
I just looked at all 3 of your posts and so far the only useful info is that no one has ever told you directly that you have BB, not even your husband, that you have never been able to smell your own breath, and that you've allowed REACTIONS to dictate your life.

i guess you're right. but what would you like to know? i am not really sure what the source of the bb is although i truly believe it's more a digestive problem. i can remember having it as far back as 10 yrs old. no one else in my family has it as far as i know. they only have the normal food related bb issues. i am generally a very insecure person so i have trouble dealing with peoples reactions/comments. i have never seen a dentist/doctor about this particular problem. i had an appointment today actually and i cancelled it because i got discouraged after reading so many of these posts. i don't want to pay for an office visit if the doctors not going to take me seriously. i have tried different toothpastes, mouthwash, peroxide, baking soda, hcl acid supplements, chlorophyll capsules, and probiotics and digestive enzymes which i am still taking right now. as you pointed out i do get very depressed by peoples reactions, but so does everyone else on this board right? otherwise we wouldn't need to come here and vent about it.

Solving this problem takes trial and error, it can be caused by so many different things, you need to keep an open mind.
It could be as simple as a dental problem that you are unaware of, so you need to go through all the common causes and rule them out in order of their likelihood/symptoms which you can relate to.
You are not very likely to succeed unless you speak to doctors and dentists who may immediately find blindingly obvious causes, or may need to refer you to specialists for further investigations.
Once you have some basic facts established, you'll have far more chance of getting to the root of your problem.

I went to the dentist a couple days ago. I had to fill out forms cause I was a new patient in that office. There was a question that asked "do you have a problem with bad breath?" I sat there contemplating whether i should check yes or no. My husband was there and I didn't want to get into an embarrasing conversation in front of him. But I figured what the hell and checked yes. So they asked me all these other questions about everything else, but never asked about that. I was too ashamed to bring it up. She did tell me that I have a really large filling in my mouth that is hanging over the tooth. She said this is causing a house for bacteria to grow. She suggested that I let them shave the tooth down and get a crown over it. Have you heard/ experienced this? Also she told me there's one more wisdom tooth left in my mouth. So maybe either of those could be contributing to my bb. Anyway, I thought I'd tell you that I've decided to take your advice and go the "elimination process" route. Of course it'll take a while cause I don't just have money lying around and my dental insurance only covers so much. But I'll keep you posted.

The fact you checked the BB box might be what led them straight to any likely BB causes like your dodgy filling and wisdom tooth, saving you the embarrassments of having to discuss it. What a great idea to give people that opportunity to do so.
I dont know anything about crowns - but beware that they dont last forever and can come loose or crack and smell like something crawled up there and died.
Good luck with that.

The first thing anyone with BB needs to rule out 100% is the teeth and gums, however insignificant this might seem to someone like you who no doubt has ruled out this possibility.
Where you placed that comment was an unhelpful thing to say to someone who has just taken the important first step towards ensuring this.
And incase you hadnt noticed, several people on this forum completely cured their chronic BB having identified a dental cause, including myself. I dont see anyone who has managed to achieve this by whatever other factors you are talking about.

Hope that dental work will work for these people.
However what dentist suggested to do in terms of dental work is a common recommendation , doesn't guaranty that it will take care of BB.
Regardless of breath if one has a missing feeling every dentist would say it should be fixed because it's a trap for bacteria.
Advanced gingivitis or badly affected wisdom teeth are very likely to cause smell.
However, based on numerous cases CHRONIC BB pertains to other major factors. Firstly of SVC bacteria overgrowth.
It doesn't hurt to be aware of them.
Actually to take care o teeth or dental issues is the first recommendation to take care of or if it's not the case to eliminate by doctors( at least the one I visited with BB)
