fecal breath/nasal fart different to BB

Postby me » Sat Jun 05, 2010 12:55 am

I think we should categorize each type of BB, or else we will never find the cure.

I see a lot of people here trying to find the cure for fecal breath by going to the ENT and buying mouth washes and doing things to tackle bacteria in the mouth. But that is simply not gonna help you because fecal breath is not caused by that.

Maybe those procedures would help somebody with a different type of BB. But not those with fecal breath. Because fecal breath is most likely cause by somthing in the digestive system or somthing else (In my opinion),

For example I know this girl with BB(she doesn't know it). Her BB is pretty bad you can smell it if you talk to her or stand very close to her. But is not a fecal room filling BB like mine ( I would rather have her BB than mine). I do belive that her problem might be somthing going on in her mouth, maybe even bacteria related. I'm sure what would work for me wouldn't work for her.

What I'm trying to say is that if we don't categorize BB we'll never be able to narrow down the options and find the cure. If you don't know what your breath smells like or don't know whether you have Nose fart or not, then the first step should be find out.

I truly belive that Most people here have Nose fart but they are just on denial because they can't smell it themselves. If you hear people asking who farted around you, then most likley you do.

You can put me down for nasal fart/room clearing rotting garbage smell..

wasn't always like that though, i started with situational BB about 4 years ago like when i drunk a lot, then developed to conistent BB, now chronic systemic pollution.

fecal breath

Often faecal breath means bacteria are feeding off blood and not food protein. Try this before bed,
Clean the whole sinus system. It’s best done before you go to bed. Take a glass of warm water mix 2 teaspoons of plain salt. Find something you can use to pour solution into each nostril like a large syringe without the needle. First split the salt water to two glasses then floss, and use 1 glass of salt water to brush your teeth, gums cheeks and tongue. Use a proper tongue scraper to clean your tongue and with the remaining rinse and gargle but do not drink. Now take a hot shower, using the other glass of salt water tilt head back and pour the solution into each nostril till full, now hold your nostrils closed and bend down till you’re looking up at your crotch keep holding your nostril closed for 30 seconds now stand up blow your nose very gently. A lot of the solution is now in your upper sinus and will begin cleaning your whole sinus. Do this each night till you’re sure your sinus is clear then do once or twice a week. Please make an effort to do this as I know it clears the sinus and ends Post Nasal Drip, then before bed drink a full glass of fresh water do not rinse with it.This can stop other problems as it reduces bacteria’s food source. I hope this helps you. This alone won’t cure bad breath for total removal of bad breath

i think it's very important to take into account if you can smell taste your bb yourself. maybe you can rule out some sources.

for example the type 1 (tongue dorsum) possibly taste and smell it.

the type 3 or 4 (gastrointestinal, blood gases) presumably will not smell it themselves.

and so on.

strange: i can smell my breath from the mouth, but not from my nose (and both stink).

Yes. Feces smell points type 3 halitosis.

Zinc containin oral products are ineffective. Stool is also has bad smell in many cases. There is much bad smell if patient sits on somewhere. But there is less bad smell while/if (s)he lies on bed. There may be saliva on pillow every morning. ýn Such cases, there may be body / sweat odor too.

Some reasons that I can remember:
Digestive enzyme defects, lactose intolerance, intestinal bacterial overgrowth, stool pH, pancreas exoenzymes, diet habits, what you eat before sleeping, reflux, H. pylori gastritis, intestinal parasites, diverticulitis, constipation, megacolon ... there are many reasons.

Well, my poo smells bad but i've never thought my breath was fecal smelling. In the morning I always go for a big poo which isn't always solid but always smelling, and i'm always almost ready to explode when i wake up. It never used to be so smelly even when i had bad breath before, but come to think of it, i feel my breath might have got worse as the smell of my poo has got worse although i can't really smell my breath any more, just in the morning.

Like a few people have said on here before, i am really quite skinny, but eat just as much (if not more ) as the next person. I wonder if a fast metabolism is related to bad breath?

First off i want to agree with the person who made this tread and say fecel breath / nasal farts ARE NOT RELATED TO ORAL HYGIENE. in my opinion, this is on a whole different level than bad breath.

im 22, male, and have had this embarrassing nasal and mouth poo smell since i was 15, and its ruined my life ever since.

my friends would say my breath smells like sh*t , rotten eggs, and sometimes fish. For the past 7 years, since grade 10, i haven't been able to be myself around people, constantly worrying about trying not to blow my breath towards people and holding my breath.

after plenty of doctor visits, and being referred to sinus specialists, they even convinced me that it was my tonsils to have them removed, which i did. i am still undiagnosed. thats when i sort of gave up

this is going to sound strange but its a fact that i have noticed myself and trust to believe. you know how people have their own "brand" of farts? well Ive noticed when im around people (at work) my nasal odor smells like their farts. for instance a coworker said once " smells like so and so's propane fart". my conclusion is not from this once instance.

@ the post above mine, i also am skinny and have a very fast metabolism. i am also an athlete if it makes a difference.

i read ppl saying they cant smell it themselves, and most of the time i cant either, but if im very still and breathing(through my nose) at a very slow and steady pace, i can smell it.

i would really like to know or find out if there is is any kind of medical group or something that is currently trying to find the cause of this awful desiese please dont be afraid to send me a personal message thanx.

me,
I think you're on to something. A fecal odor on your breath most likely indicates a problem somewhere in the digestive tract. Aydin Murat seem to agree with that. If that is indeed the case, whatever you do in the mouth would have no effect.
I remember reading some years ago that an Asian doctor said that a coating on the tongue indicates some kind of infection in the intestines. It could be an overgrowth of the wrong kind of bacteria in the small intestine or the colon (or a few other things like Aydin Murat suggests). My first question would be, how is your digestion? Any stomach pains, excessive gas, alternating constipation and diarrhea, anything that would show that your digestive system is not functioning properly? Of course, for something like this one would have to consult a gastroenterologist.
It is probably one of the more difficult conditions to diagnose and correct.
The hand we are dealt is fate. How we play the cards is free will.

well if it is indeed an infection of the intestine that causes a fecel odor on the breath, then i have been living with it for 7 years......i will definately bring this up on my next doctor visit thank you.

i havent had any indications that my digestive system has not been functioning properly other than slight discomfort in the bowel area, rarely . however i have had heartburn for the past 3 years, this past year it has actually damaged my esophagus, ive been on raberprazole( an acid reducing tablet) for the past year. not sure if this is relevant to my condition.

i can totally relate when u say one of the more difficult condition to diagnose....i really hope were on to something
