Wenjie,
I'm not a doctor, but here is what is indicated by your answers:

First, your excessive post nasal drip could be feeding anaerobic bacteria on the back of your tongue. That could be the reason for the white coating on your tongue.

Second, the reason why you have abdominal distress could be small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). It could also be in the colon. From what I have read, this can also put a coating on your tongue and cause bad breath. This condition can be treated with Xifaxan 550mg (Rifaximin). This is an antibiotic and would have to be under a doctor's care because there can sometimes be side effects.

You also mention that you have taken antibiotics in the past, but not for longer than a week. This could have caused a problem because if antibiotics are not taken long enough, not all the bacteria will be killed, and the ones that are left alive will be the strongest ones and most likely immune against the antibiotic in the future, so that they will be much harder to kill. You may have some very strong bacteria in your system now.

I don't know where you live or if you have access to medical care, but you may have to go see a doctor. If you do, don't say anything about your bad breath because they usually don't take that seriously. Complain about your intestinal problems and ask them to test you for SIBO. If the test shows positive, they can treat that, and you will be rid of the underlying cause of your bad breath.

thank you.
but i have been to dozens of doctors.i told some of them about my bb but some not.
and i had two operations in my nose and tonsillectomy.i hoped they would help me but lost my hope last.
and i think it seems my bb used to be not so powerful as it is now.i dont know if the medcine caused it or the operations on me.
i live in a village in china.i used to visit a bbs in chinese but now there is only advertisements and cheats.so i found your website.there is a lot of valuable information here.
i think jimi's situation is more like mine.though it has been years i still cant accept the fact that the smell travels such a distance that kills every one living around.

What is the best medicine university you know near your place? Does a chinese halitosis board exists?

I think your better chance is to get a network of people that suffer from bb in your country. There is nothing impossible, if there is no chinese board maybe you should create one and encourage emulation. I assume that you eat rice, you made analysis on what you eat?

we have a board of bb in chinese.but there are only advertisements and theaters on that board.i used to visit and post on that board very often but now i almost give up that place.
as to the rice, yes i eat rice every day and every during every meal.rice is our main food.but i also like meat(pork).
i had bb for almost 10 years and the recent two or three years are the darkest to me.so i know a lot about bb including the TMAU.i used to think if it has any thing to do with the food i eat every day and i even tried not to eat anything for 3 days until i cant stand any more but result is a big FAIL.so i think it has nothing to do with food except fish(fish make more nasal drip).i tried not to eat rice but my mom blame at me every day.chinese people have a very hard old mind and it is not easy to change.

From what you tell me:
Three days isn't enough, a more realistic test would need at least 1 week without the suspicious food or group of food. Chinese feeding has a lot of proteins, sugars, gluten, etc. Try isolating and looking at what contains what.

How old are you? According to you what has provoked this bb? Did you have a treatment 10 years ago?

You have not answered to:
"What is the best medicine university you know near your place? "

You may need to learn making websites:).I understand your cultural issues. Mentalities are hard to change, and you know in Europe it's not much better...

i am 24 years old now.i know there are some medicine universities in WUHAN which sounds ok.but as i know they seems has no interest in study in bb just because they dont really know much about bb.i want to try let people know this problem and help us but it requies great courage to make your bb known by the public.
i know how to make websites as i learned it in college and i am the best in class because i have to work harder than people to make a living though now i am afraid to get a job.
you advice make me think if this website is for westerners only and not welcome chinese.maybe i am too sensitive.i know people dont like chinese in fact.

Why don't you make a website specifically for chinese people? You will have a great amount of work, and you could benefit from it too. You could bring people some awareness and indicate where they could go, and after it could sustain itself. You can create a dynamic by yourself. Have you red my thread entitled "creating an entity for bb people"? I'd like your opinion. You can send private message if you want.

You speculate that people don't like chinese. You believe it, you don't know it. It's very different, don't you think so? I have nothing against chinese people, and I could be friend with a chinese with no problem at all.

i am totally sorry i said that.i think that maybe because the informations i can receive from media.
as to "with no problem",i think everybody has their problem.and tell you the truth, though i want to make friends with people i hate them because i was treated so badly so long because of my terriable bb.
i have read the thread you posted about the website plan.but i think there is some details that needs to be cleared before you really do that.

Wenjie,
You say you have been to dozens of doctors. Did the ear nose and throat specialist make sure that you don't have a sinus infection? We don't know why you have so much post nasal drip.
Also, have you been to a gastroenterologist who checked you for small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO)? Those are the most likely underlying causes of your chronic bad breath.
The food you eat has nothing to do with bad breath. Even if you eat nothing, you will still have bad breath (unless you have some kind of food allergy). Aydin Murat, the microbiologist in Istanbul has told us that. So don't torture yourself by eating nothing.
As far as websites are concerned, you can make a Chinese website if you want to, but I doubt if that will be any more useful than other websites. Your English is good enough to make use of American or European websites. It is however possible that Asian doctors know more about bad breath remedies than American doctors, who know next to nothing.

Well I would certainly agree with that. It wasn't until I came to Asia that I found the cause of my bad breath. American doctors couldn't tell me anything. Kinda makes you question the whole health care system in the West....

wenjie,

i am curious, have you ever tried these chinese remedies:

http://www.activeherb.com/chukou/

wondering if you have considered that you might have this "liver stagnation" issue, and you being chinese you'd know better about it or say how it works and if it does. have you gone to a chinese naturopathic doctor?
