Can anyone confirm the H. Pylori treatment

Post by jc »

I`ve read the posted article on this site about the h.pylori treatment & I want to try it next week. I was tested twice before for h. pylori & the result was negative but I`m willing to take the treatment. Can anyone help me with the right dosage. I already have 14 tablets of 500mg. flagyl(there`s no 200mg. in my country) & I`m planning to buy the other two drugs next week. I`m not clear on how to take them though. Is there anyone here that had undergone this treatment? Maybe you could tell us the result. Thanks.

I wasnt going to say it until i was sure but I am on my last day of treatment for helicobacter pylori (1 week). breath is ****ing fantastic. Even the metronidazole i took before still left me with a coated tongue with no bad breath, but this is just amazing. No coating, no nothing.

Now, it may not work after i stop, so i will not say it has cured me until like three weeks from now if i still dont have bb.

DO NOT buy your own seperate drugs and attempt this treatment. It is a very specialised treatment and you must get a doctor who will treat you for H. pylori even though tests may show you dont have it. It was tough getting my doctor to prescribe it to me, but i made him think i was very desperate. This is after he told me to use listerine hahaha

The treatment i have is called Nexium Hp7. It comes in a box and inside are three seperate medications.

1 Nexium 20mg (this is just for reflux, but essential in the treatment)

2 Amoxil (amoxycillin 500mg) very powerful shit

3 Klacid (Clarithromycin 500mg) another antibiotic

I take 1 nexium, 1 klacid and 2 Amoxil pills in the morning, and again at night.

Remember LJ's feelings towards antibiotics, they are bad especially if we do them so often. Do this at your own risk, its really a stab in the dark. Maybe you can wait to see what happens with me then decide if you want to pursue it. But holy moly, is my breath goooooood.

austuser I am eagerly waiting to see the outcome of your treatment! Good luck! :D

By the way, did you have dry mouth before the treatment and do you have now? Any other symptoms that you had before the treatment that disappeared now? Did you odor coming from the nose?

i only had dry mouth due to stress (talking close to someone) otherwise my saliva is normal. its the same now while im on the treatment. never had an odour eminating from my nose. i do have bad sinus congestion though and this hasnt changed.

ive had sore tonsils or glands for two days and last night had the sorest throat ever. i think the antibiotics are allowing a throat infection of some kind to develop, but oh well. i have no more pills to take so its fingers crossed from here, but no breath held

h pylori

Well, Austuser, I hope you have continued success.
Let me ask you have you taken pencillin before in your life?
I'm wondering because Amoxicillin is really not a kick ass antibiotic by today's standards.
And if you have no resistance to the 'cillins you may be experiencing first timer response.
Enjoy your time and fresh breath like it would end tomorrow; go do whatever you have wanted to do; kiss a pretty stranger on the street; blow a piece of dust off a child's face; meet up with people who couldn't handle your bad breath. There's stuff to do.
Oh, by the way, has anyone told you what your breath smells like now? Ask would you; ask them to describe the smell or non smell?
And then do the same in a month; and then maybe another month. At that point you may be able to say you have continued fresh breath.
Good luck; and here's hoping; but in the meantime, have tons of fun. Laura

Thanks Austuser, I really wanted to try flagyl a long time ago but I thought that my chances would be better if I take the triple therapy. I hope that your fresh breath stays forever. Thanks again.

youre right LJ, ive never taken penicillin before and this may very well be a first timer response. I tell you i am realistic but im trying to believe that the case of H. pylori therapy curing a 60 yr old lady of halitosis that is on the front page of this site will work for me too.

My ex-girlfriend, who i nailed last night, told me that my breath was "not there", meaning she couldnt smell anything. This is after 12 hours of not brushing, drinking beer and scotch all day and smoking and eating. Of course i was still on the therapy. She always tells me if my breath smells.

Remember also, my bb is different to the severe chronic bb that some people here have. When i clean my tongue properly i can get about 5-6 hours relief, sometimes less. I have a coated, dry, rough tongue that has smelly bacteria on it. I dont think my bb is deeper back in my throat, and its NEVER so bad that people more than 3 feet away can smell it. Its when i talk up close my bb has a sharp, pungent odour that makes people turn their heads quickly. People with bb that projects further, people tend to move their heads slower, as if moving away from a lingering smell, rather than one which you can only smell as the breath hits your face. I dont know if im making any dam sense but thats how i see it. (when i used to have sex with my ex she preferd me to turn my head to the side :)

Its interesting because after taking flagyl my bb came back even before i finished the course of the treatment. I am currently 12 hours post-treatment for h. pylori and everything is super duper. But i wont say anything else until next week.

Taking probiotics might lessen side effects from treatment

Post by jc »

I`m going to take probiotics during the treatment. This might prevent yeast overgrowth & will replace the good bacterias that are killed in the process. I don`t know if it will have any interaction with the drugs but I`m guessing that it wouldn`t.

although the probiotics will be basically useless during treatment because the antibiotics will kill them, this is a good idea because as soon as the treatment is over u have a better chance of the good bacteria re-colonising. This is what i did, with acidophilis and K12.

Hi Austuser:
I forgot to ask you if you took them before or after meals. I`m also glad to hear that you`re having such a nice time. Thanks.

Austuser, How often do you smoke? They way u describe your breath, it doesn`t sound that bad, 4-5 hrs of relief, damn I would kill for that. I don`t know of anyone who smokes who has decent breath for that long.
