tooth abscess five years???

Post by Kathe20 »

Tooth abscess can cause bad breath?
Five years is a very strong smell mouth and nose!
It is possible that this is causing it?
I was in a lot of the dentist and they said my teeth are fine panoramic dental x-rays did not show anything, and I went to pay cone beam CT and performances from the tooth root abscess.
Always sour taste in my mouth pus left.
I tried everything already, I went to a lot of doctors but no one knows why this is.
This is the first hope ....
Sorry for my bad english ....
Someone has an opinion on this?

Kathe20, it can. It happened to me! In fact, I was just going to post about it when i saw this thread. I've had a tooth that was neglected ten years ago. We moved after I got a temporary fillling and I postponed another visit to the dentist for too long. I was already suffering from mild bb since age 11 and I hated going to the dentist.

I was finally forced to go when a piece of the tooth had broken off. The dentist patched it up. It was patched up a number of times after that and finally I got a root canal on - what I know know to be - a very infected tooth. The root canal took place 6 years ago. It was around the same time that I started experiencing symptoms (malaise, not feeling well). My breath odor became much worse. Where my bb could be detected before only when I kissed someone, for example, it now got room filling. Sometimes a fecal odor which I could at times smell myself, but not always fecal.

I also felt muscle pain, extreme stiffness in my legs, tingling in and numb fingers, low grade fever now and then, frequent sinus infections. I ascribed it to my thyroid and also posted on this forum about it. I once took Augmentin and Flagyl which made me feel wonderful for a short, short while - obviously the chronic infection subsided a little, which made my mouth feel more moist and clean. Sadly, it was soon back to square one and I thought I had chronic sinusitis which caused the dragon breath. Obviously it was because the root of the problem was still in my mouth - an abscessed tooth which produced no pain because it was draining bitter liquid into my mouth, producing a horrible bitter taste and a smell coming from my mouth which made people step back in alarm and disgust when I spoke.

I finally got a crown which kept falling off. I was in despair, because it forced me to go back to the dentist time and again. The same dentist who assured me that I did not have bb and who saw the failed root canal on the x-ray, but chose to ignore the possibility of infection, although I nearly cried in her lap about the horrible smell coming from my mouth.

Finally I went to another dentist for a second opinion after I read on the internet how a failed root canal can result in serious infection and odor. She took an x-ray and found that the file from the root canal had broken off in my root. She did not detect any infection, but I insisted that the tooth had to come out. After the extraction she told me that there was an abscess in the root and between the roots and told me that I had made the right decision.. She prescribed augmentin (I also used a course before the extraction).

The second day after the extraction I was feeling low, because my mouth still tasted bitter and the smell was still there. When later I looked into my mouth to check that the bloot clot was still there, I noticed how swollen my gum was, with a small bump/boil on the side of it. I gently stroke it to feel whether it was sore, when the boil bust and I felt the same vile, bitter taste, but now it filled my whole mouth.

The dentist told me to take augmentin and flagyl together to take care of the infection which I started yesterday. I woke up this morning with a clean feeling in my mouth, I think because the abscess has drained, there's only a little bit of swelling left.

So, to make a long story short: an abscess can produce a truly terrible taste and smell. It can also poison your whole body. I always thought I had good dental hygiene and because I had bb before the tooth episode, I never thought twice about the problematic tooth. What it did for me, is the smell became so bad and overpowering that it made my life (which was bearable before) an absolute living hell for more than 6 years.

Hope this works for you Jen. Please keep us informed.

I know someone who has had mothball/poo breath for about 4 years, who I have never noticed any BB on them before this. They too had one particular tooth which had a root canal many years ago and which kept requiring ongoing treatments and she started complaining about the constant horrible taste in her mouth (she didn't know about her breath though, as far as I know). Her description was that her mouth never felt fresh.. and she finally told the dentist to just remove the tooth (a molar). For a good couple of weeks after nothing changed and I could still smell the mothball stink, but now it's completely gone and it's been about 2 months now.

Jen I am very grateful to all by me!
Hope that ...
Recall, this is not the root canal treated teeth
When I was about 15 years old was packed, and then last year replaced the old filling a new one.
I've been three times but no x-ray showed no abnormalities.
At least three dentist looked at my teeth all of them said that my teeth are fine.
Despair went to privately pay CBCT. (Very expensive)
The recording showed a dentist who has not seen anything on it.
Then a month later I came across this famous dentist who is very busy.
I gave him a phone call recording and a week later I had found anything in it.
Phone talking life and then he said he will root abscess in the left upper dentures.
As there is no indication of gum externally.
I feel the sour taste, but I almost going to the left rear on the left side of the figure.
The right side does not feel like that.
Metonidazole I took last year but did not have any influence over the breath.
Jen please update your events!
I wish you all the success in getting rid of this nightmare!
I also look forward to 14 May in the afternoon to go to 5.

Do I have a long history.
I do not want to write about my bad english, because you can not you will understand ..
However, I think I'll try.
The halitosis five years ago.
Unfortunately, when I was young terrified of the dentist.
I neglected my teeth and had three teeth pulled.
In 2008, I decided to denture make.
Upper right at the back was missing a tooth.
Bottom left two missing teeth.
So both sides will cut both healthy.
Therefore, at the back right has been reviewed by a three-member dental bridges.
Bottom left is four dental bridges.
In terms of the material was a nickel-based dental bridge.
A dental bridge is completed after six months of their troubles began.
Both sides around the prosthesis white lesions occurred.
Went to oral surgeon who took samples sent to histology.
Unfortunately, the histology confirmed malignancy.
Squamous cell carcinoma ...
Underwent surgery the next day.
The doctor said my chances are very bad.
Everyone studied me as I was only 27 years old.
The doctors told me this kind of tumor that occurs in the elderly.
and severe alcoholism, smoking, neglected teeth.
There was none with me.
Removed during the surgery in histological examination re-sent.
In about two weeks it was.
It turned out not to malignant tumors.
Only some allergic reaction to metal.
Well, it was a great relief stay! Life for me!
For me, zirconium prosthesis replaced the dentist.
But I've noticed that before surgery halitosis as well.
I have never felt.
I've noticed the reaction of those around.
The bottom line is that all started when I first buffed teeth
and dental crown was in my mouth.
Always come from the bottom-left of the crown sour taste.
Therefore, my second prosthesis is levied left.
I thought it was not good for dental crowns.
The dentist wanted to talk about it because the dentist said it was perfect for me, my dental bridge.
Currently, the buffed out there will
Right under the back of the last tooth.
If I squeeze my fingers around my tooth gums are very smelly.
This is not a wisdom tooth.
I do not and never have grown up there as well.
The current CBCT that there is no abscess.
That is, if I understood well the phone the oral surgeon he said.
How else does not feel the saliva test is based on odors.
Only the left-back last buffed teeth.
This will be the last.
If you are in favor or after I squeeze the gum comes out of something sour putrid.
When I was chewing gum then flows into a sour taste in my mouth literally from
Terrible stench around me.
I'm a business owner must often go to the bank
As I enter is already opened up all the doors.
This is just one story of many from humiliation.
I'm already terribly upset.
I am a beautiful girl with an encore externally.

So the bottom line is that since I have nose and mouth odor
since buffed teeth and dental crowns made him a dentist.
The last one left out there now will be buffed
The dentist says the teeth healthy and return to the crown.
You can also spamming and strongly feel that the gums around the tooth is smelly.
So I decided if I'm going to a doctor is definitely imposed on the tooth.
I can not take this anymore ..
The top left is an abscess that can be treated anyhow.
Sorry for the long post, and hope to be understood broadly.
It felt good to describe my story ...
Oh and also if anyone has the same situation as me

Bottom left is my last one will feel bad after taste and odor ..
It's a brushed my teeth.
and the absence of dental crown because I had a dentist take off
So annoys me that I can not read English
I am writing google translator is
When rebuilding the whole nonsense from English to Hungarian.
Not meaningful.
Maybe it would be better if I would write in Hungarian :))
So good to describe and talk about it with anyone ..
Even if you are too stupid to turn it on google.
If you would go out of my mouth smell like English teacher to go ..
And much else :))
Plan is to have lots of ...
My question is when I realized :))
I became a hermit for five years.
The best years ..: (((

How do you feel? There are also a bb??Are you taking antibiotics?
Rooting for you to succeed in getting rid of bb!
I'm looking forward to next week be able to go to the dentist.
Corsets add a lot of hope.Anyway, it'll keep you.
After much thought, I decided I was going to pull the left rear will last +
Treatment for dentists in the upper left teeth cyst.
In my last bottom tooth seems fine but if you examine my fingers smelled horrible.
Incredible that five years ago no one knows where the smell is coming.
I have done everything and nothing helps.
This is my last hope ....
