Bad Breath Halitosis Forum

Anyone else suffer alot of cold sores from vigorous and over enthusiastic brushing?
Im always knocking my toothbrush about my gums,,,, resulting in painful cold sores.

My gums are also receding. Anyone else suffer from receding gums due to excessive brushing?

Yep. Went to a new dentist a couple months ago and she told me I had receding gums. She even recommended skin grafting (I don't think it's THAT bad...) Anyway, when she said this I got embarrassed thinking it had to do with poor oral hygiene or something (even though I know mine is impeccable). She said it wasn't related to that whatsoever, it was due to "over aggressive brushing and flossing." Whoops. Since then, I've been going at it a littler gentler and got a sonic care toothbrush thinking that may help. We'll see what she says next cleaning.
