Bad Breath Halitosis Forum

Today i was at my lowest. After 15 years of doctors and dentists and specialist's (ENT etc) my doctor was very rude and told me i was just gonna have to live with BB and accept that this is who i am. I wanted to scream my head off. The doctor said i was wasting the surgerys time and my appointment could of been given to someone that really needed it. I walked out of that surgery in a daze. I felt dizzy and my heart was pounding. I knew this was a life or death situation. I had 2 choices
1) go back to my room where u have spent the last 15 years .......OR
2) get drunk for a bit of dutch courage and then.....end game

I am still here and i opted for the first option. What does the future hold for us sufferer's. Will we ever find a soul mate who can put up with our fecal breath. Does anyone deserve to be put through having to smell my breath and what i were to have kids? Would they suffer too?...i thinkbits best if my legacy ends with me....its amazing how they can put humans on the moon but cant cure bad breath

why can of surgery did you have? I think the first thing that needs to be done is to find out the root cause of the BB, instead of going to see different Dr's and wasting time and money. I know the frustration you get when you go see a Dr and thinking you about to get a cure only to be back on square one.

When i say surgery i mean doctors surgery ( thats what we call them in the uk). Also i cant fund out the root cause cos i have tried everything(tinsil stones, pnd,acid reflux,gum disease, dental checkups,scrubbung the tongue) the doctors cannot identify what is causung it and neither can I. I cant carry on like this...i am gettung older and running out of time...i may have to try these snake oils on the internet. I feel so frustrated at living with this curse.

I hate doctors that don't understand. They lack compassion because they have no idea how it feels like to suffer! People can go to the moon because people care about those things. Unfortunately we have to wait till a celebrity is affected and is willing to come out! Then it will get recognized! Until then we must continue. Today and everyday is a bad day for me and it's getting worse everyday.

I recently got diagnosed with TMAU. I have told some people. Some has been compassionate but some don't get it or don't give a sh*t. But I have to keep on going! I hope you do too! Pls send me a PM. Across the world but I'm just like u!

I do think that many of us simply have the natural bacteria in our mouths, throats and sinuses that excrete smelly odors and that it cannot be cured.

We cna't iwpe thme out and replace them because the cells in our mouths have "anchors" that only bind to certain types of bacteria. In many of our cases, it's anaerobic bacteria that produce foul odors.

So in a way these doctors may be onto something. Many of us will never be ableto cure this. I have given up and I only seek to reduce the impact it has on my life by keeping up with a regimine that I feel reduces the odor as much as possible.

We need better technology that simply doesn't exist right now.

The only people who understand our pain the people who suffer from it. Judging by this forum, it seems like we barely help eachother, why would anyone go out of their way to help us.

I think we need to find a more efficient way to help each other out.
The most important step, I believe, is to change the forum: upgrade, re-organize sections etc. Obviously, Jimi is already doing a lot of work and needs some help.

One idea I had that could tremendously help each one of us in our journey is to have people specify their symptoms on their profile or signature or something. For example: IBS, Belching, thyroid, etc etc

gp's don't help because they can't.

sorry to sound like a dr but have you had your tonsils and adenoids removed? i'm from manchester too if you ever wanna meet up and spit ball ideas.
