Bad Breath Halitosis Forum

Hey everyone,
so this is pretty tough for me. Ive had bad breath ever since 4th grade. I am now 23 years old and dont really know what to do anymore. Ive been at a couple of specialist in different areas of medicine be it the lung doctor, the ear nose and throat guy or the dentist.
Dentist told me I have perfect teeth. SO yeah,
ear nose and throat guy thought my tonsils were responsible for my BB so i got them cut out. No change.
Ive always had this sort of think slimy saliva in the back of my throat. I cant seem to really get rid of it properly. Any products containing milk make it even worse--turn into slime factory that just causes me to spit everything out every 10 mins.
I am pretty aware of my BB, meaning I can taste when it starts to smell bad.
Also my Lung Doc told me I have a pretty bad miteallergy. Theyre these little bugs that everyone has in their bed and clothes. He thinks my BB might be associated to that.
Now, my question is, has anyone has similar problems? Tongue Scrapers and everything only seem to alleviate the problem for a very short while..gettting really desperate here. Also ive had a chest xray to see if it might have anything to do with my stomach causing acid reflux or smthn, came back negative ofcourse..
So yeah..

it could be genetic....bacteria overgrowth.......impacted tooth......many things...

Man eventhough you dont deserve my help, imma be nice since i'd hate for anyone to be afflicted by this horrible condition. Read the part where i said just google oral probiotics and you'll get bunch of hits. That's obvious enough to see im not pushing any particular product in my thread, Sherlock!

ok i tried it myself...did not help a lot...so have other people, we have many posts on oral probiotics.....they did not work....they work for a while then the smell comes back

What strains have you tried? It'd be helpful if you alternate to prevent the bad guys from becoming resistance to the bacteriocins produced by the good bacteria.

I tried the one that taste like strawberry.....the cheapest one, took them for 1 month....felt some relief but dunno how much

Get a high potency probiotics and sprinkle them in your mouth. You probably need to stay on it long term.

that would cost a fortune...just tell us what you are using...i know you are not a scammer, just relax....we need to know

Pro-dental is what i currrently used, but it doesnt have to be that particular brand. Any probiotics designed for oral health would work IMHO. You need to carpet bomb your mouth at first then slowly taper off comepletly or just a pill here and there for upkeeping.

A bottle cost about $25 for a 45 days supply if you use it moderately. Cant really put a price on being bad breath free. Id gladly pay 2x if I have to for the sake of my social life.

I said high potency as in 100billion plus CFU froma different maker if nothing else works for you. You can get that for about $100 that should last you 2 month.
