Mike, you're absolutely right to demand whatever tests you want. I did exactly the same. I use my doctor just as a point of referral and prescription. If your doctors are not doing their job then you have to become your own doctor! I would certainly recommend the gut fermentation profile: http://www...

Well I can't say for sure but I think that PND alone could be enough to give a white tongue. If that PND was not from infection (i.e. from allergies) then something else would have to create an imbalance of flora in the mouth, e.g. antibiotics. If someone with allergic PND loses all their good oral ...

I can put your theory to rest. I am a very slow eater and people always complain about how slow I eat. I chew my food well yet still have bb. Obviously your BB is not from insufficient chewing, but it could be from a lack of bile salts or digestive enzymes, which would give a similar result to thos...

According to this article the act of squatting forces the valve closed. http://www.naturesplatform.com/health_benefits.html How they know this for a fact is not clear but it is totally believable that squatting, as nature intended, takes care of any valves that need to be closed (ileocecal valce) or...

First see your family doctor and ask him to refer you for a CT scan of your sinuses AND a referral for a good ENT doctor. Try to find one who specialises in nose/sinus surgery, and make sure that they will do whatever tests you want before you make the appointment. If you can pick up your CT results...

Malory makes it sound as though it's a temporary fix, as if it keeps getting locked. In any case, if chiropractory (chiropracty? chiropractry? Is there no noun for the practice of it? Because I can't find the right spelling here) truly can treat it by periodic unlockings, shouldn't we be able to ac...

It seems as though, despite the metronidazole being a real breakthrough, that it may only be a temporary fix. Most of us who have oral BB have a permanent white tongue and this is what's known as biofilm. Biofilm makes bacterial colonisation very easy, hence the BB. But the metronidazole is specific...

yeah, i'm in! I used one a month or so ago. I'll start with him. ...but does it really 'fix' the valve, or just give temporary relief?
Does anyone know if this syndrome can be diagnosed with a colonoscopy? That's a whole other commitment
but i'd do it if we then had some hard evidence!

yep, i definitely eat fast too! - maybe start a poll on the home page? I think a lot of us for some reason have thick mucous (I know I do), and not chewing enough means that the food just gets coated in mucous and doesn't mix with the digestive enzymes. Poor digestion can then mean that other organi...

Hello Everyone, First of all... thank you! I have been watching posts on here and other sites for years, and have got to say that this site in particular has really helped to keep me heading in the right direction. I don't know why I haven't posted before. I guess I was waiting for some concrete evi...
