Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)

It is absurd to have to do complicated and expensive tests when a cysteine challenge test would be enough to determine whether halitosis is intraoral or not.

Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)

@stevian take a look at this post by Aydin Murat https://www.badbreathhalitosis.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2990&p=27819&hilit=bird#p27819 " Ecology is the unique key of type 1 halitosis. Ecology determinates 1- bacterial profile 2- number of each bacterium in that flora 3- metab...

Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)

Firstly thank you both for your replies. @Stevian I did the swab test first thing in the morning. Didn't have any color. It had a slight musty/cheesy smell, similar to when someone sneezes hard. But I can only smell my breath sometimes, like when moving my head or clearing my throat from mucus and ...

My diagnostic journey in 2022

I did not undergo any medical examinations in 2021. Partly because of the Covid 19 pandemic and partly because of the frustration of previous attempts. In 2022 I want to make new attempts, but following very specific rules that I impose on myself. 1) Only university clinics, with departments of oral...

Re: Dr. Jorgen Slots, USC

@ telpar It doesn’t help much to link research papers without detailed context. What exactly were you attempting to point out in that paper? Sorry, I thought it was useless due to the presence of a detailted abstract. However, research states that "alcohol-free ZnCl2-containing mouthwashes are...

Re: Dr. Jorgen Slots, USC

Dear Stevian, I'm not a doctor, I'm not a scientist. I'm just a pazient who suffer halitosis. I have been searching for a cure from several years so I've read many publications. Bacteria on the dorsum of the tongue are in many cases the origin of the bad breath. Their presence indicates that there i...

Re: Dr. Jorgen Slots, USC

Friends, we don't need chlorhexidine, we don't need antibiotics. I don't think we have "bad" bacteria. I think we have an underlying sublicnic cause that is difficult to diagnose. But it is not impossible. Where do you get this “we” nonsense? The only thing we necessarily have in common h...

Re: Dr. Jorgen Slots, USC

Hello Kl123, how many childrens do you have? At what age did your and their bad breath appear? Have you ever tested for parasites? This could be a diagnosis for all of you because parasites are contagious. In this case, the antibiotics only work if taken by the whole family, otherwise the parasites ...

Re: Dr. Jorgen Slots, USC

Each of us has tried chlorhexidine. None of us were cured of chlorhexidine. Chlorhexidine is useful in case of intraoral halitosis, as an initial therapy for 1 week, on the doctor's prescription. Bacteria cannot be killed. Smartmouth is very good for type 1 bad breath, it contains zinc chloride and ...

Dear Dr. Murat I have consulted some forums of people with celiac disease, wheat allergy or NGCS (Non-Celiac Sensitivity to Gluten). In these forums people often talk about halitosis. It is interesting because for them halitosis is not an obsession, nor a discomfort, but only a temporary annoyance t...

Re: concha bullosa.

I've it too. Concha bullosa is a very common anatomic condition. So we can assume that many people suffering halitosis have concha bullosa. Can it to be the culprit of your halitosis? Yes. Can it to be the culprit of mine? Yes. Should we go to surgeon septoplastic? I don't know. I imagine it depens ...
