I have been diagnosed with GERD too. It is definitely the stomach. I doesn't matter if your tongue is pink or whatever - you have to do something about the stomach problems - go see a specialist, or maybe try fasting (check my fasting thread on the general page if you'd like to try).

So I've been reading this book by Thorwald Dethlefsen on the spiritual reasons for illnesses. I don't know about you guys, but I think everything happens for a reason and can be resolved. Actually the first 4-5 days are most challenging, well at least in my experience. After that it gets considerably easier - you get used to it and you can even lose your appetite. All of that tempting junk food just loses its appeal.

Yeap, bad breath is inevitable while fasting. But it's because of your body trying to get rid of all the toxic waste that has been accumulated. In theory, if you fast long enough, your breath will get extremelly fresh. One can always hope!
