prey, yes I was diagnosed with lpr (via indirect laringoscopy), but this is noly the top of the iceberg. The reason is acid reflux, so the treatment of lpr is not with antibiotics, but with medicines for reflux. PPIs are just one option to treat reflux, but they do not work very well for me. No lif...

Hi, prey I do not know about the relation bb-ppi. I have been taking ppi for 8 months and it does nothing for my bb and very little for the acid reflux and LPR. But without it the situation gets worse. sorry i dont understand, you said that you were diagnosed with lpr a few days ago, maybe you didn t...

Hello everybody, i was reading your posts and i think that i have this LPR mainly because of this clear mucus that doesn 't come from the sinuses. Even if someone with bb have this LPR if he is treated with that ppi, wouldnt then his bb maybe become worse? I was reading that statistic on halitosisux ...

Hi iva, I've never heard of that before, and it possibly explains a number of things. It might explain why some people have bile coloured tongue coatings. It might also explain why acid reflux is sometimes "frothy" since bile acts like a soap breaking down fats. These are just assumptions...

Hi Prey, I stopped taking the pepto-bismol last week so my bb would come back for my ENT appointment. It didn't seem to be working as well as it had been for the last few days I was taking it, my bb was starting to creep back in again. I'm asthmatic, but only really have allergies to pet hair (I ha...

Well, I went for my ENT appointment today and it was less than useless. He told me that my CT scan was clear, no sinusitus, so there was nothing else he could do. I asked him why he thought my mucous smelled and he just shrugged. I asked him if it could be my adenoids, he said no, or if my back tee...

I had x-rays of my sinuses and nasopharynx done, but nothing was found to be abnormal. The only thing I had was minor swelling of the adenoids. This is crazy that doctors can find nothing anatomically wrong. Leads me to believe more and more it is a bacterial problem. I started the triple therapy t...

I have been thinking lately about chronic sinusitis as a possibe cause of BB. It can cause infected pnd, which could mean bacteria in our mouths. Also the whole antibiotics working for while your on them, then stopping working after, could be backed up by this. The bacteria in sinuses that are infe...

Halitosisux: You make a good point about the potential for structural variations to be a cause. That might be one explaination for why it appears to run in families in some cases. It would probably have to be subtle though, because i've heard of people having x-rays/CT scans/etc. of their head and ...
