I was using DioxiRinse for over a year. It's a binary mouthwash, where you mix two ingredients that result in chlorine dioxide. It tastes terrible and I think it was giving me skin problems, and heartburn. Even though I never swallowed it, some of it gets absorbed in the mouth. So now I'm just using...

Hope4now, I need help in learning to clean my tonsil crypt. I will buy one of those syringes online. Do you fill it with just plain water, or do you sometimes fill it with something else added? Any other cleaning tips? I fill the syringe with warm water. I haven't tried anything else so far. Adding...

Hope4now, What is your daily routine of taking VCO? How much do you take daily, do you swallow it...or oil pull? thanks I have some caprylic acid in pills, and VCO as well..I have oil pulled and found it great at getting plaque off the teeth. I just swish a teaspoon of it for 5-10 minutes in the mo...

halitosisux, I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed in May because my dentist recommended it. It had no impact on my bb or tonsils. I haven't completely ruled out a dental cause, but the floss doesn't smell after flossing my teeth. I traveled in June and wasn't following my usual tonsil hygiene. My bb qui...

I would always say to leave tonsillectomy as the last resort. Tonsils smell because the situation and smell of the rest of your mouth and throat causes them to smell, not vice-versa. The only exception to this might be if your tonsils themselves are infected in some way. I can imagine smelly tonsil...

I have the same problem: tonsil crypts with stones. Both of my tonsils usually smell bad. The other day I tried using a water pik on the tonsils. A large number of tiny stones came out. But the water pressure was too high and they started bleeding. And it causes a gag reflex which makes it impractic...

I never thought of gargling or rinsing with epsom salts. Might be worth a try. Since tonsil stones are calcium-based, the magnesium in epsom salts might help draw them out.

I had my four wisdom teeth out last month. So far no improvement in my tonsil smell. About the only thing that seemed to help in the past was cutting out dairy, but it's hard to stick to.

I've been trying VCO for about a week. Tonsils still smell like sh*t and producing yellow crap so can't say it's working for me.

Until the invention of refined sugar, most people had relatively healthy teeth and kept them for life. There were also much fewer illnesses and epidemics. Refined sugar is the primary culprit for most of the disease in the world, chronic and acute, including tooth decay, which is also a disease. Ini...

Why do you think mercury causes bad breath? Amalgam fillings have not been shown to cause mercury poisoning or cause bad breath and Toxinout has no clinical trials showing it's safety or efficacy and makes completely ridiculous unsubstantiated claims. You're wrong about mercury fillings not causing...

When I first tried oil pulling with VCO in the morning, I noticed some heartburn later in the day. Now that has gone away. I think that might have been a symptom of it attacking an infection of the esophagus. So don't let some temporary negative side effects stop anyone from continuing it. Any react...

I'm trying oil pulling with virgin coconut oil (VCO). I'm also applying it directly to the tonsils. With oil pulling, you're supposed to swish it around for about 5-10 minutes until it mixes with saliva, then finally spit it out. Best not to swallow it. I can't tell if its working yet on the tonsils...

misshad, yes I'm sure it's the tonsils. Whenever I probe the tonsils with the round end of a toothbrush, what comes out smells bad. It's bits of tonsil stones or paste. I tried giving up dairy, which seemed to help, but not entirely. It's possibly a symptom of a dental or gum issue, or even a sinus ...

I'm getting my 4 wisdom teeth pulled later this week. I don't know if it will help my bb or not, since the odor comes from my tonsils. The dentist said they should go because they're not worth fixing and it will make it easier to work on the other molars, which all have gold crowns. Still it's worth...
