asd If you have pains in your cheeks it is highly likely you have an infection in your sinuses. Perhaps the smoking somehow exacerbates it and brings it to the fore. But seriously get it checked out. I had a pain in my cheek for a long time just above my back molar and I thought that's where the pai...

harry - I'd be very interested to know if you suffer from reflux with symptoms such as heartburn, pains in the chest, acid burning in the throat?

Thanks

halitosisux Yes, it was very recent. I saw the endodontist on Sunday (I'm in the middle east and Sunday's are working days). He was amazed that I wasn't in absolute agony and that it didn't bleed when I flossed but said that it was probably because there was an occlusion, which I understand is a blo...

I'll give you a good example of dentists overlooking sensitivity and receding gums. For a long time I suffered with sensitivity and receding gums around one particular tooth that was heavily filled. It was irritating when I flossed it but it didn't bleed. Dentists always told me I was brushing too h...

aahh yes it contains chlorhexidine gluconate, I've used something similar before. It stained my teeth and couldn't taste anything for days but I didn't know it was capable of mutating oral flora. This stuff is available over the counter (where I live) and even if it says to use only for a few days w...

Hi Snobuni I got really excited (for a moment) about this periowave procedure because I think my bb problem may be due to old, untreated periodonal problems. From my own personal point of view, if it's got anything to do with hydrogen peroxide I would steer clear of it. That stuff left me with reced...

The problem with GM products or produce is that we don't know the long-term effects on our bodies. If I had young kids I doubt that I would have this stuff sprayed in their mouths unless it was guaranteed to be 100% safe. Most of my family members in their late teens and early 20's have never suffer...

joe1, thanks for the post. It gives me hope when scientists are able to find the actual bacteria that cause bb but for them to say 'they have found that brushing twice a day with antibacterial toothpaste and using a toothbrush with a built-in tongue scraper can eliminate chronic bad breath' seems a ...

I know this is easier said than done but why don't you ask him if your breath smells (if you haven't already done so). Personally, I think it's a lot easier to ask family members than friends/strangers. Although I know from experience that family members can sometimes deny the truth because they wan...

I went to a hair salon this morning and after about 20mins the hairdresser put on the a/c that was just above my seat. About 15mins after that she opened the window and said lets get some fresh air in here! This is despite the fact that she is suffering with a very bad cold. A/C and open window, hmm...

  Snobuni, Yesterday I had to visit an endodontist about 2hrs drive away and I was thinking exactly the same thing as you 'why don't I just have all my teeth pulled and it will save me all this time, money and worry'. But it wasn't a wasted trip because I got to meet a dentist who's breath...

asd Have you ever considered stabilized oxygen rather than hydrogen peroxide? It's apparently much safer for internal use. Have a read of this website (scroll down the page), it's just one of many that warn of the dangers of taking hydrogen peroxide. http://www.foodreserves.com/products-information/...
