$2000 Dr. appointment to fix this!

Post by Sophmom79 »

34 year old female that has been trying for years to fix my problem. Tonsils out, numerous doctors. No one can help me. I'm 2 hours from NYC and I just made an appointment to see a dr that specializes in this. He supposedly has systems/machines that can pinpoint the problem, etc. It's worth giving it a shot! Do you think I'm crazy? He is my last resort. I've tried everything possible. I'll just throw it on a credit card. Would you do it?

Sophmom79,

IMO, you should cancel the appointment and save your money. I'm willing to bet that this "doctor" is nothing more than a quack who will take your money and take you for a ride. Get out of this appointment while you still can. You need to face the reality that your condition, like for many of us, could very well be untreatable. That does not mean that you should lose all hope on someday finding a cure, but, you need to let go of the feelings of desperation and learn how to cope better with it. Find things to do that are worthwhile, focus on becoming a better person, fill you time with hobbies and doing nice things for people. Become your own best friend. Stay strong and learn to love yourself, warts, bad breath and all.

Maybe you should post the name of the doctor and see if anyone else has had any contact with him. But I will say this, if someone is charging you $2,000 without even see you that's a huge red flag. And yes, love yourself but NEVER give up hope!

from our experience here, these quacks always take only money and say you were cured, they can+t smell you anymore, or they will say they did everything they could. Imagine somebody so stupid dishing out 2000 so the "scammer" can put a tube in his moth, measure VSC levels and then give him mouthwash taht you can buy online anyway.

What do you think he will do for god sake? Don't be stupid....

Let me tell you if I had 2000 I would cure myself
I would get the best deep gum cleaining from the best dentist , get all mercury fillings removed, put myself on the best natural diet money can buy, get a colon cleanse, buy expensive liver, colon detox products to clean out my sysetme, I would try every product from the health foods store that makes sense, get tested for TMAU and make a gastro appointment to one of the best doctors.
im almost certain that if I had money to eat properly and take care of and cleanse my body I could cure myself.

I won't tell you to keep or cancel your appointment. I'll simply say that back in 2010, I went to see one of the guys who claimed to be a foremost expert on all things BB. I flew all the way out to California, slept in the SF airport the first night for financial reasons, paid him over $500 for his "treatment," and nothing. I was getting reactions as soon as I hit SF airport for the flight home. The trip when everything is factored in cost me around the same amount that the doctor is charging you.

I e-mailed him about a month after I meticulously followed the regimen he prescribed to tell him that I thought it wasn't working, and he actually got upset with me. I don't think he used profanity, but he used strong language to let me know that I was imagining the reactions and I was choosing not to live a full life. I was shocked and never e-mailed him again. In fact, I don't think I've had any contact with him since that e-mail.

As someone has already said, I just don't think there is a quick fix or magic bullet. You just have to go through the process of elimination, no matter how daunting or expensive. Every day is a struggle. Keep battling for as long as you can maintain. I say all of that to say use your discretion on this one. If you choose to go through with it, then hope for the best and plan for the worst. That should help with the disappointment if it does not work. If it does, then please post everything you can on this doctor so that maybe the rest of us can be free. :)

And that was me in a nutshell. I flew all the way out to California for the doctor to do exactly what you described, even getting upset with me when I e-mailed him a month or so later to tell him that I didn't think the program was helping the condition, as I was still getting the stares and coughs, etc. I can't say I feel stupid, though. I was just some desperate soul who felt at the time that I was doing everything that I could to fight for my life.

Here I am almost four years later still fighting to live. I get a little more hopeless every day. I even called a s*****e hotline last Friday, as I was sure that would be the day I ended it. I'm afraid and lonely every day that I live. I'm trying to live on, but I'd be lying to everyone (and myself) if I said I am not extremely depressed right now. :(

I am afraid to list his name because I don't want my name to end up in a lawsuit or something. I'll point to the website instead: breathcure.com. I spent money that I really didn't have on flying out there to get treatment. In the end, he only had me use the same products one could get from the site. He then hooked me up to the halimeter and told me that I was cured. He specifically told me not to pay attention to the reactions, as people do things like that all the time (even though I never notice them doing such things when other people talk).

Anyway, you'll see when you go to the site. I was so happy for about four days back in 2010 because I thought my long fight was over and I'd get to live life to its fullest. But nah, four years later and I'm still in this fight for my life.

Yeah, it appears that that's what happened to me. I still can't say that I feel bad or stupid because I feel that I at least did something to try to change my situation. I think that's the one thing everyone should remember . . . keep doing something. I feel like a walking contradiction, though. Here I am trying to encourage people to keep going when I feel I've all but given up. I had to call a s*****e hotline last Friday just to keep from hurting myself. Oh well. ](*,)

I won't believe that this specialist can pinpoint the root cause of your bad breath. If this $2000 include all sorts of lab test such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound, barium x-ray, allergy testing, CT scan of sinus, laryngoscopy and blood test then it's worth a try.
