success story

Post by ray peat fan »

Hey guys, im in my mid 20's, and i completely cured the bad breath that i had since high school.
Basically i think it was due to parasites / or bacteria overgrowth / general inflammation in the gut,
Because i cured by following the ray peat diet, eating garlic and eating carrot salads.
You guys should learn about the ideas of ray peat and the bioenergetics forum;
But basically i think that placing a big emphasis on improving my metabolic function and keeping endotoxin low, is ultimately what fix it all for me.
Peace out guys, take care.

Did you run some test to find parasites / or bacteria overgrowth / general inflammation in the gut? How long have you been taking the diet?

I should be more specific about what exactly i did.
On a daily basis:
3 garlic gloves,
carrot salad - 2 raw carrots, teaspoon of olive oil or coconut oil, salt;
Avoiding PUFA (polyunsaturated fatty acid)!!- no more seed oils, fish, nuts, etc;
Avoiding gluten;
Eating a lot of simple sugars: (i have no problem metabolizing sugar, if you know you do be careful with that): citrus fruits (vit c, important), honey, table sugar, dates;
Dairy products,
Some amount of starch: white rice, potatos;
supplementing b1 (medium to high dose, very important), b-complex, magnesium, vit d e k and low dose aspirin.
for like 5 months now.

Did not run any tests for parasites and bacteria overgrowth, but used to have bad halitosis with white tongue, chronic fatigue, had tonsil stones - removed my tonsils, generally felt always irritated, low body temperature. In retrospective, all signs of inflammation originating in the gut, b1 deficiency, hypothyroidism.

Btw, i forgot to say something and i think its very important;
Eating a lot of organ meats, which are rich in zinc.
Poor zinc status -> low stomach acid.
Low stomach acid -> decreased ability to absorb dietary zinc.
Decreased ability to absorb dietary zinc -> poor zinc status.
Might mave to supplement zinc to fix that deficiency.

What do you think caused it? Candida or dysbiosis. Do you take mastic gum or antibiotic?
