I thought this was an interesting website on enzymes:
http://www.enzymestuff.com/index.htm
It gives good information on the differences between candida, leaky gut and bacteria.

Interesting website on enzymes....
Hi Snobuni:
I'm assuming virastop is in the virus section......I'm not really leaning towards a virus being my issue, but more the gut.
It's interesting how this website gives good detailed informationon how enzymes are important in healing different ailments/conditions.
We've been leaning so much on probiotics - which is still very important - that I know I can say for myself, that I've been neglecting enzymes. I drink a tea that has enzymes; but I don't believe it's a strong dosage. I think I'm going to pick up a bottle on enzymes and find ones that are specific to the issues i think i'm having.

Hi vivian,
I've been reading that site, its facsinating. Its sounds very logical that enzymes could play a role in BB, whether directly or indirectly. Afterall TMAU is caused by a specific enzyme deficiency and look at the havoc that causes. I've tried certain digestive enzymes in the past along with betaine hydrochloride. This was a long time ago and they made no difference in my case, so hopefully things have progressed in that time. Definitely something i'd like to research more into. If this is at the root of our problem and hopefully any reseach on BB is being aimed on this too, then it shouldnt be too long before a breaththrough is discovered. Its not the most complicated or costly subject to study which gives more hope of this, unlike the immune system and genetics for instance. I look forward to hearing any progress you make, and wish you the best of luck.

What tea do you drink that has enzymes? I would be very interested. I drink alot of green tea and puerrh tea (recommended by posh spice!!)...and supposed to be very good for liver and metabolism.
I also take quest digestive enzymes with betaine hydrochloric acid. Im not sure how well they work. If I am eating well and taking supplements including those enzymes I do notice a marked improvement. Basically if my diet isnt clean it doesnt matter what I take ...my breath will not be good.

Hi Baguio,
Yes, I'll post my progress from time to time. I know that this candida cleanse is expected to take time.
In regards to the enzymestuff.com site, it also gives great links to other webistes.
There appears to be a women who cured her candida in 40 days - yes, I was skeptical to in reading this link;
http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/4966/index.html
but it's' the information she provided on what herbal drugs she'd taken - which was recommended by a naturopath. She'd pretty much taken all of the herbal drugs many on this site has been on, but she was also on a strict diet, and the naturopath had prescribed something I'd never heard of....it Undecylenic acid (named SF722 on her site).
So in doing a little searching, it appears that this is a known fatty acid to help with fungus:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Undecylenic_acid
The enzymestuff.com site will much caprilyc acid (also a fatty acid) as one of it's recommended herbs, in doing more searching, apparently undecylenic acid is 6 times more stronger then caprilyc, and treats various ailments, such as thrush:
http://www.kombuchapower.com/thorne/Und ... 20Acid.pdf
For the most part, I've purchased all of the enzymes that I need to combat leakygut + candida, as well as other herbal meds that were recommended on the enzymestuff.com site. I'll definently be adding the undecylenic acid, and hopefully that will speed up the cleansing process....then i'll be able to report back sooner rather then later.
