Hey Snoopsister,
Let's compare symptoms to see how similar/different they are in relation to acid reflux (AR).
My symptoms are:
-white coating on tongue, especially on waking up
-constant mucus/PND in throat - clear in color, but sticky
-bitter/sour taste
-excessive thirst, probably due to acid buildup in throat and on tongue
-when i lick my wrist and let it dry, it has an acidic smell
-feeling of heaviness/discomfort around stomach area
-burping, probably more than normal
-dairy intolerance, could be lactose intolerance, but also could be b/c dairy causes more acidity
-coffee gives me horrible taste, again it's acidic
-spicy/oily foods makes symptoms worse
-symptoms improve after taking an antacid
-i have bad teeth with many fillings and I recently got more cavities even though my oral hygiene is very good. In my opinion, this is probably due to the acidity which is affecting my tooth enamel
I have an appt with a GI doc next week. I want to make sure the problem isn't hiatal hernia or H. pylori.
Would you like to share your symptoms and thoughts?

For those who want to minimize AR symptoms through a proper diet, this will be helpful.
