Has anyone actually went to the doctor and tested everythin

Post by bbsux »

I was wondering because everywhere i look there are like 15-20 conditions that can possibly cause bad breath. I will be getting insurance soon and i am thinking about going to every single specialist i can and testing each and every aspect of my body that can affect BB.

Poor dental hygiene — Infrequent or improper brushing and flossing can leave food particles to decay inside the mouth.
Infections in the mouth — Periodontal (gum) disease
Respiratory tract infections — Throat infections, sinus infections, lung infections
External agents — Garlic, onions, coffee, cigarette smoking, chewing tobacco
Dry mouth (xerostomia) — This can be caused by salivary gland problems, medications or by "mouth breathing."
Systemic illnesses — Diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, sinus disease, reflux disease and others
Psychiatric illness — Some people may perceive that they have bad breath, but it is not noticed by oral-health-care professionals or others. This is referred to as "pseudohalitosis.

As for me i know personally i have had problems with kidneys and had to have surgery like 5 times but even after the doctor said it has been fixed i still had the problem. Also I tried going to check my sinuses few times and the doctor put the machine to look through my nose and did not notice anything unusual. However one time the ENT i went to kept repeating bad breath but i was too afraid that it was the reason i came to him... i was saying i have bad taste in my mouth.

Finally while i do not have perfect teeth i went to the dentist and he did deep cleaning fixed all my teeth and the problem was still not fixed.

My questions is did anyone on this forum check their tonsisl sinuses, liver, kidney, stomach, etc etc etc complete check up to eliminate any potential for bb to causing problems?
