Quick update

Not cured........

The smell seems to come from the back/bottom of my throat.

I was stood in the bar and was talking freely, I have quite a boom bastic voice and I talk from the bottom of my throat. I over heard a women stood next to me asking her male partner "have you shit?" he's like "no I haven't". I immediately felt my heart sink.

Anyway I've come to notice this has happened a few times when I've really spoken from my throat (if that makes any sense).

And a few weeks before wisdom removal I recall singing and I smelt that shit smell (more like tonsilolith) smell rise from my throat but silly me thought it was Wisdoms.

I've had numerous times I'd been out at a club singing from the bottom of my throat (again I hope that makes sense). and people asking me "can you smell shit?".

Now I know this isn't always but sometimes bothersome. Just today I was walking and talking through an area then all of a sudden my colleague turns to me "it smells like shit in here". But never said that again.

I've booked another ENT appt.

Now I'm just wondering could my throat be the cause of nasal odor too? And can the throat trap bacteria some place in there?

I'm not even dissappointed but I feel like I'm close on the source of my problem.

There is in infection somewhere in my respiratory tract. It's just pin pointing it but it's looking more and more like my throat. Will be a week before ENT.

I've been researching throat infections these past days.

But nope wisdoms wern't my main problem. Though they were stinky and impacted I suppose it was a good thing I got them out.

I'm just not able to reach my area/nest of stink.

Ahhh well I felt good for at least a few days.

And let me tell you I was on amoxicillin and this hasn't worked at all nor has ANY antibiotic i've taken in the past including acid suppressors.

I think next order of business is endo of throat, throat swabs and possibly a ct scan of the neck/throat. I think maybe nasal odor is stronger because you cannot "mask" the smell in there like you can the mouth. Also I think the nose picks up the smells straight from your throat since it bypasses the mouth. I mean when you're eating strong smelling food, people do not emit that smell through their nose. My ct scan of sinuses were clear and my x ray of teeth showed clear sinuses.

I can smell my morning breath and when my tongue is funking up my mouth and believe me that's not the halitosis other people smell.

And I was walking to work this morning it was freezing and I could see how far your breath travels so I'm not surprised people can smell it from a distance on a bad day. breath just dissipates all over.

But for now my carbon dioxide is still pumping those fecal vibes. Nice.

Symptoms

Swollen lymph nodes
Halitosis
Fatigue

And our white blood scores are low because our bodies are fighting whatever infections we have and immune system is being compromised and weakened.

Even I can smell it when I have a few cups of coffee, coffee is just bacterias best friend like peas in a pod.

But rant over still I press on.

And when I've nasal breathed only and sat in a chair at work I've had numerous comments like "smells like you haven't wiped your back side in 4 days" So I'm assuming by that it smells REALLY bad. Breath odor is bad not as bad it seems.

I remember I sat down to eat at dinner and I exhaled through my nose really hard and wow I got abuse. "not sitting next to you, you haven't wiped your ass in 4 days".

How can it be so hard to pin point such a thing??????

Sorry to hear it's not your wisdoms. At least it's something you can cross off your list and know that WHEN you do find out where your BB is coming from and you are cured, you at least know that you've eliminated their potential to cause you odour problems in the future.

Have you considered your lungs? I remember reading once that something to do with lungs can cause really strong mothball/tonsillolith odour. When you mentioned singing it made me wonder about lungs.

That's one place you might be fighting a chronic infection and if you really are it would make you feel run down. Just some thoughts really.

I'm sorry to hear about that FedUp. I was really hoping you had found a cure. Have you though about possible food allergies? Soy, Dairy, Wheat, or even meat. All which can cause bad breath. Being that you can actually pinpoint when your bad breath started, look back to that time and try to think about anything that may have changed. Maybe you had some type of cold or something when it emerged; headache, stomachache, anything.

It's kind of funny you mentioned lungs since on my sheet from my discharge of nasal surgery it had me listed as having asthma and COPD. but that must be a mistake.

I will have to ask my ENT dr.

I've never had asthma, I do not get short of breath at all, I'm sure it's just a confusion.

I am 23 but some days I feel so run down, like today I was nearly falling asleep in bed. I gotta figure this out I can't deal with it anymore.

@coconuthead it literally just happened within a month, one moment I was living normal the next I'm being asked if i've farted or been to the toilet or had a shower.

Just be a little more positive. You're lucky for getting BB problem when you're 23, I'm just SIXTEEN and have been living with this hell for almost 2 years now! Started with 14. Who knows when I'll be able to figure out my problem??? You have money in the bank can buy antibiotics and pay tests, I'm just a kid depending of my parents. You don't need to go to school anymore, I do, and its so HARD.

On the subject of BB possibly coming from the lungs, I just remembered that when I was about 11, I was told by my doctor that I had bronchitis and she gave me an inhaler. She said it was possibly due to cigarette smoke, as my mom is a heavy cigarette smoker. I remember one day around age 11, I ran around the track at my school and became incredibly out of breathe. I was whizzing and had to lay out on the track to catch my breath. This continued until I was about 14. This no longer happens though. I haven't whizzed since then, nor do I suffer from chest pains and severe shortness of breathe after physical activity. I remember when visiting the ENT last year about my sinuses, he mentioned cigarette smoke.

Ihatemybreath, what makes you think he doesn't need to go to school anymore? In that case, you don't need to either as the dropout age is 16 and his job requires just as much social contact as high school. You're actually in a better position than he is as well as myself. I've known that I've had it since I was 10. I'm 20 years old now. It didn't began to affect my life until a few months before my 15th birthday due to being humiliated in school because of it. Even my friends made fun of me because of it. I was basically known as "the girl with bad breath". Imagine being 16 and it's Valentine's Day and someone sits a pretty little red bag on your desk. You're thinking you've got a crush, just to open it and find Colgate and a toothbrush in it, while looking around as you see people try to hold their laughs in. Embarrassing! You don't realize how happy I was to graduate and leave high school to only be back in school where things didn't become better, but worse. You think it's hard now, just wait until college, which revolves around being social. Then comes the stressors of actual life when you have to go out into the workforce where you are constantly being turned down after job interviews and having to switch jobs and settle for less because of BB. Struggling to pay your bills because your bad breath limits your chances for a better paying job. You've got it a lot better compared to FedUp and I. I can definitely say my bb was a lot easier to handle before I started college and got a part time job. There are people on this site who's suffered with it for 20-30 years + and I really feel for those people. 2 years has nothing on that.

You just told me the obvious . That my nightmare is just beginning , I do not feel comforted by this, believe me . I'm saying that Fedup is in a better position than mine considering he got BB after some time , people are rude to him? Yes , but not as much as in school . Get BB while in school is one of the most difficult situations . Fedup had more time happiness happiness than me, he enjoyed life untill 23 age, and I ? Not even that . I'm early in life and have this problem , I do not deserve it , or deserve ? I know that in the future will continue to be difficult and worse , I know that my depression will only get worse , and considering I 'm teenager I should be enjoying life , this is worse than anything. Fedup did enjoyed your teenage life being free BB , I do not . I can not take the best part of my life . And I have no money to get out of the shit . You really think I 'm better than him? It is very easy to chase when you have money and a job and independence , but the worst thing is not having what to do, as I find myself at the time .

I'm done. I was just trying to confort someone, but I did wrong saying my situation is worst. Don't have worst or better. We're together in the same shi*. I love you, don't wanna fight. Ihatemybreath, First, no one is playing the poor little girl but YOU with your whole I'm in school, I don't have money, I don't know what to do, I'm suffering, I'm not enjoying my teenage years as others. You're gonna tell me not to say my situation is worse, when you said the exact same thing. You're being hypocritical. The only reason I told you my situation as well others was worse than yours was to show you that you're not the only one who's suffering. As you said, we suffer together, so what made you think you have it worse in the first place?

Now, do your parents or whomever you live with have insurance? If so, then being that you're 16, I'm sure you're on their insurance. When you go in for doctor/dentists visits talk with the doctor/dentist about the problems you are having with your bad breath.

If they don't have insurance, then another option is to get a job. You can work a part-time job at a fast food restaurant or grocery. Some clothing stores even hire as young as 16.
