thank you! How did you deal with your own paranoia? I still get so paranoid :shock: also, I recieved the meds in less than 10 days
It was hard snoop, that's for sure. Living with bb for more than half your life leaves scars that run deep to say the least. But look at what's happened to you. Your friend told you that they couldn't smell any odor, and you aren't noticing any reactions anymore. Those two signs should speak for themselves! Plus you feel more energetic and your stomach problems have vanished, which is also a great outcome!

For me, these are the things that confirmed I was cured.

1.) Before I took the Biozole, anytime I spoke to people, or even got near people, they would cover their nose, move away, turn their head, or make a face that showed discomfort. After I was finished with my treatment, these reactions vanished. I even tested it. I take public transportation everyday since I don't have a car here in Thailand. Before I was treated for Candida, if I sat or stood next to someone on the subway or bus, they would almost always cover their nose or move away from me. After I was finished with my treatment and cleared of Candida, I remember purposely sitting next to people on the subway or bus, and I would breathe through my mouth. I got no reactions, they just sat there and did nothing.

2.) My mom visited me here for two weeks a couple months after I was treated. I had told her about everything the doctor found, and I just flat out asked her if she noticed I had bad breath when I was growing up. She said yes. I asked her why she never told me and she said she thought it would just go away on its own, and plus she said I was difficult to talk to when I was a teenager (which was true, I was a rather difficult teenager.) Anyway, I made her smell my breath for the entire time she was here visiting me. I made her smell it in the mornings, in the afternoon, in the evenings, after meals, before meals, etc. Towards the end of the two weeks she was actually getting annoyed of me asking her. But, for the whole two weeks she said she couldn't smell anything.

3.) The indirect comments about bad breath that I used to get from people stopped.

4.) Finally, and this is rather personal, but after the treatment, I could kiss others without the obvious hesitation or just flat out avoidance.

KeepTrying - God bless you for your post.

My life could echo your post. I feel like your long lost brother. I've always had excellent oral hygeine, a successful science career (except for extreme shyness due to BB), family etc (I'm 35 yo). But, I've always heard the comments, experienced the fingers to the nose, "what's that smell?", people moving away from me, etc. Just like all of us on here, I can remember each one of those comments going back a long, long, time... and each commment or action stings to this day. I often would read passages in the Bible about Jesus healing leprosy and how lepers endured their health problems and isolation. Unless you have it... you just don't know how mentally challenging this all can be.

During this 20 year journey, I felt in my gut (figuratively and literally) that this was a fungal infection. But you read all of the literature and it says that 99% of the problem is in the oral cavity. I've been through all of the "snake oil cures", water pick, peroxide and still had a distinct odor. Here are my symptoms:

Odor often worse when I was hungry;
I often suffered from athletes foot;
I was a fingernail biter;
I cleared my throat often and would often cough after eating (one time);
Odor was often "fishy";
Mucous from throat was thick and white;
I didn't have tonsil stones;
Went to an ENT and all he could tell me was the mucous" looks like its coming from below" - meaning from my throat;
Went to my internist and all he could tell me was "its reflux" - which I do occasionally have;
Dentist said he saw no sign of "thrush" infection and my teeth and gums looked great;
Often an acidic stomach (pH is off balance).

So what did I do? Instead of going back through the doctors and the insurance copays, I ordered generic fluconazole through an online foreign pharmacy. It took about 3-4 weeks to get the stuff, but for $45 it was worth a shot.

THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - I ordered 20 150 mg capsules of fluconazole and took 300 mg on the first day followed by 150 mg daily. I could tell after the first day that my breath had totally changed (is this what happened to you KeepTrying?). I'm wrapping up the first 7 days of the fluconazole and I can tell that the odor is 90% eliminated. I'm battling a cold and believe a little bit of odor is eminating from the mucous drainage, but not like before. I woke up this week for the first time in 20 years without morning breath that could strip paint off of a wall.

I'm trying to stop bread and yeast and I'm also taking Culturelle and eating yogurt. I drank coffee this morning for the first time in a while and wish that I hadn't. I guess you can't go cold turkey on everything in the first week, but I'm trying...trying real hard. Anyway, that's my story in a nutshell and want you all to know that I stand with you in your search to beat this. I know I'm not cured, but I think I'm on the right path!

Kindest Regards

Hey, you're welcome QuietShyGuy. LOL, nice to know I have a long lost brother somewhere. Where were you when I was growing up! It was lonely being an only child :lol:

To answer your question, I didn't notice any difference in my breath after the first day. It was more like towards the end of the 14 days. For the first week I had die-off symptoms from the Candida, but they were manageable. You mention that you are battling a cold. That could perhaps be your die-off symptoms, because I felt like I had a cold or flu for that first week of treatment too.

Good luck with the rest of your treatment, and keep us updated on your progess. And congrats on your odor being 90% eliminated! That's really great news! :D

Hey Tony,

Glad you got the Biozole. I've already answered your concerns about the cover in the e-mail I sent you, but I thought I'd clear it up to everyone on the forum.

When you say that it doesn't have a cover, you mean that it doesn't come in a box. I do not *(editied by author)* the Biozole in the box for two reasons.

Firstly, Biozole 200mg comes in a box of 50 capsules (5 sheets with 10 capsules per sheet). It does not come in any smaller quantity than that. 50 capsules is almost 2 months worth of Biozole! It's not necessary to take Biozole for that long. As I generally only *(editied by author)* a two week supply of Biozole, that means that not everyone would *(editied by author)* their Biozole in the box. In order to keep it uniform across the board, I do not *(editied by author)* Biozole in the box to anyone. Secondly, the box is quite big. In order to cut down on the cost of *(editied by author)*, I only *(editied by author)* the sheets of BioZole, not the box.

However, I do bubble wrap the sheets of Biozole and I *(editied by author)*. Please see the pics below.

Picture of the Biozole box along with the sheets.

Hey KT,
I sent you a couple of emails regarding the metro and biozole so please check asap. Wish your discovery had shown up a couple of years ago when I traveled to Bangkok (Bumrungrad) to get my tonsils removed (thought it was the source of bb, obviously wasn't it).

Although I'm somewhat apprehensive towards self medicating, I know I will always regret it if I don't try. I have many of the same symptoms as you growing up so I'm hoping my source is candida. Besides bb, I have lots of stomachaches and general bloating and gasiness.

Again, thanks so much for sharing your story and information. Without risk, there is no reward.

Oh wow, Bumrungrad is such a nice hospital!!! Did you come to Bangkok just to get your tonsils removed, or was it just something you did while you were on vacation here?

I understand where you're coming from completely. I don't think anyone necessarily enjoys self medicating, but sometimes there really is no other option, especially when the majority of doctors don't really seem interested in helping bad breath sufferers. I wish things were different.

It could be. Do you have any other symptoms currently besides the ones you mentioned?

You're welcome. I truly hope that you will find the answers you are looking for. I hope everyone does. :D

SO LIKE ALL OF YOU, I HAVE REALLY BAD HALITOSIS...ITS SO DEPRESSING AND ITS REALLY AFFECTING MY LIFE IN ALL WAYS THAT YOU CAN IMAGINE. I SIT AT HOME & CRY!...I HAVE GONE TO THE DENTIST AND MENTIONED IT TO HER, WHAT DID SHE HAVE TO SAY? THERES NO CURE FOR IT, ID HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT.(IF SHE ONLY KNEW HOW DEVASTATING IT IS TO HEAR THAT) I HAVE GREAT TEETH THOU. I HAD MY TONSILS TOOKEN OUT BECAUSE I HAD THE TONSIL STONES, ALSO I HAD A DEVIATED SEPTUM AND ENLARGED TURBINATES THAT I HAD SURGERY FOR. I RECENTLY DID AN ALLERGY TEST AND IM REALLY ALLERGIC TO DUST SO I STARTED TAKING ANTIHISTAMINES THINKING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM TO MY BAD BREATH. IT WAS NOT! I HAVE POST NASAL DRIP SO IM USING A NASAL IRRIGATOR AND AGAIN THAT DIDNT SEEM TO BE THE PROBLEM..YESTERDAY I WENT BACK TO MY ENT & HE INSERTED A TUBE DOWN MY NOSE INTO MY THORAT & SAW PHLEGM & MUCUS. HE SAID I HAVE LARYNGOPHARYNGEAL (REFLUX) SO HE GAVE ME A PRESCRIPTION FOR IT....& NOTHING! IVE ALSO BOUGHT A CLEANSER, PROBIOTOCS, ECHINECIA, GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT, ALL WHICH I READ OVER THE INTERNET THAT WILL HELP.......AND I STILL HAVE THIS PROBLEM......IVE EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT NOT LIVIVNG AS AN ANSWER. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?

Hey Sad,

Welcome to the forum. First off, get any thoughts of not living anymore out of your head. And don't listen to your dentist. There is a cure for bad breath, it's just you've got to find the cause of it, because everyone's cause is different.

I'd recommend searching around on this forum, starting here viewtopic.php?t=2659.

Keep your chin up, and good luck in your fight against bb. I hope you find your cause soon!
