did you get yours already?
i purchased one from ebay and... dont know.

its not very reliable: shows everything from 0-4 (verybadbreath). think it depends like on how much air you blow in. the slower i blow the lower the score...
but it seems to be not completely useless: checked with the hairdryer and it showed: 0.
i have a professional halimeter appointment end of the month. hope the bis one's a better device...

I have ALWAYS been able to smell my own bb.... Its TOTALLY disgusting!! I can't imagine how any would ever want to kiss me....
But I've been losing my sense of smell off and on now for about 6 months because of my allergies and sinus. So I really freak out when I can't smell. At least when I can smell it, I know what degree of horribleness it is on that day. I mean some days are better than others....

hi sadbb girl ! i know how you feel , it 1 thing to have bb but to actually smell it yourself is the worst ! i smell it myself always every second of the day , it makes it impossible to have a normal conversation with anyone ! ive had a bad taste ever since i was about 17/18 but i began to smell my own breath when i was 22 and its gotten worse ever since ! how do you cope with it ? have you tried to get any help ? i went to the doctors for the first time today , since every dentist ive seen says i have good hygiene , and that my gums are fine ! although i do have 3 impacted wisdom teeth , none of them have mentioned this and i dont know if this could cause bb so strong to smell it myself ! so next time im at the dentist im gonna ask about getting them removed ! i just dont know wether this is oral or coming from somewere else !

hello everybody!

today i visited the dentist, which does the halimeter-testing. i nearly was there for an hour.
the halimeter showed an average of 50 ppb. which is really small > no mouth odor. they only took the static mouth air (NO exhaling...). my little breath-tester always shows bb.
f..k it! i should trust the halimeter, no?!
the woman smelled my breath in every distance many times and said everything was fine.
the clue is: i had VERY bad taste in my mouth, due to not taking any gums or mints etc. the whole day (appointment was at 2:30 pm).
result: no smell, which doesn't mean i don't ever have bb. but it really doesn't correlate with my taste at all. and that moment i had normal breath.
but i have a very-very dry mouth and got gc dry mouth gel. i like!
she said that i'm kind of halitophobic, like not used to my natural taste. like if you always wear perfume and when you you don't, you think you stink. that seems to occur if you try to mask your breath by popping something in your mouth all the time. i did that for years.
although nothing was found, i got meridol halitosis too, to gain my confidence back.
i have the check-up in 30 days. glad i went there, although it's still hard to believe...
